I’m SNOW happy!

There is something magic and glorious about the snow. Like much of North America, my little piece of the world has been pounded with record storms and the snowfall here is pretty amazing. I thought you’d like to see the view I see from my office window, as well as what the CTMH corporate office looks like wrapped in its winter coat. (I especially love the fountains out front, which are building up a beautiful ring of ice and snow right in the middle of our pond.) I could just stare at it all day! In fact, on a super snowy day like today, I just might.

That’s what I love about the snow: everything seems to slow down, to get a little quieter. The whole world appears to stop, and I feel insulated and cozy. It feels like a vacation day and reminds me of when I was little, snuggly and safe. Days like this are perfect for scrapbooking, aren’t they?

So if you’re tense from driving on ice and you’re grumbling about shoveling yet another load of snow, stop for a second and JUST LOOK OUT YOUR WINDOW. Isn’t it sweet? Isn’t it lovely? Doesn’t a fresh blanket of snow make you feel like a child (come on, admit it!)—bright nose, stomping feet, puff of breath in the air, coming inside where you can curl up so warm and secure? I’m SNOW happy on days like today; it’s perfect!
