Moon Doggie Goes Pretty In Pink

I love experimenting with papers and colors, thinking outside the box wherever I can. I’ve already told you that Moon Doggie is one of my favorite kits in our Summer Idea Book and I’ve been using the papers nonstop since they were released. The classic browns, reds, blues, and greens of the kit are perfect for most beach vacations, outside adventures, and guy-friendly projects.

Well, recently, I saw some beach photos submitted by Consultant Barb Kelm and they inspired me to think outside the box with Moon Doggie—you see, Barb’s cute little daughter is wearing a bright PINK jacket in several of the photos. The color is definitely the focal point of the pictures. Could I transform those strong Moon Doggie papers into something that was also “pretty in pink”? You be the judge! I absolutely adore the way this layout turned out! Simply by incorporating pink ribbons and softening the colors of my stamped hibiscus flowers, I’ve toned down the bolds of the kit to beautifully coordinate with that front-and-center pink jacket. It just goes to show how versatile these paper packs can be—with a little creativity, every project can be uniquely yours… or Barb’s, in this case!
