All Your Eggs In One Basket

My dad always told me never to put all my eggs in one basket—but today’s artwork is so adorable, I might have to make an egg-ception! With Easter coming up this week, I wanted to share traditional artwork with a Close To My Heart flair that really dresses up the season.

I started with a classic palette of Blush, Petal, Buttercup, and added Colonial White and Bamboo. These colors are GREAT if you’re creating something to accompany spring treats, as right now all the chocolates, sprinkles, marshmallows, taffies, and other yummy confections in any candy aisle are in hues that match this color combo perfectly. (Who doesn’t love the spring line of M&Ms??) I jazzed up my simple basket by weaving our Ribbon Rounds around the top and adding ribbon to my treat jars as well. This little cookie-party-in-a-basket is an awesome surprise for Grandma—maybe she’ll even want to invite the grandkids over to make sugar cookies!

And speaking of cookies, check out my cookie cutter frame. Cookie cutters make great frames for stamped sentiments, like the one shown here, or to frame a favorite photo. You can use them for your cookie party later or even hang them as tree ornaments. Darling! And just because I couldn’t resist, I’ve included a few cards stamped highlighting some great seasonal stamps, specifically our Bunny Love (B1324) and Springtime (D1415) sets.
