Cruising the Caribbean—Setting Sail!

I’ve just returned from yet another fantastic incentive trip with Close To My Heart, this time a five-day holiday to Cozumel and Grand Cayman Island aboard the Norwegian Dawn.

We began the trip in sunny Miami—I’ve included the view of the city and ship’s pool from my stateroom, which really was an oasis on the sea. We kicked off the trip with a welcome reception that really set the party tone for the whole event. We had seven first-time earners, and it was a sheer joy to welcome them to the unofficial club of cruise earners. Christine, Chris, Debbie, Lori, Melissa, Brandy, and Sarah: extra special congratulations to each of you on your accomplishments, and here’s to many more trips together!

This trip also included “The Fab Five,” the nickname given the five Consultants in the company to earn top points during our past incentive trip earning period. These ladies are particularly dear to my heart, and it was great to see them earn both New Zealand AND the Caribbean trips. We snapped plenty of pictures of everyone together and those Fab Five, too: Tina, Sara, Lynn, Janel, and Cindy. Talk about power players!

After getting introductions squared away, we donned matching shirts on the first day at sea and held our business class and game show, won by Consultant Michele and her “guest,” another Consultant, Teri! (OK, having both team members be Consultants did give them a bit of an advantage in the game!) That evening, the executive team was joined by two great leaders, Nancy and Tina, for our Executive Directors’ dinner. We savored incredible filet mignons and even tastier conversation, capped by everyone’s dessert of choice—cheesecake, crème brulee, fruit… some even chose more than one! (It IS a cruise, after all.) All in all, it was a great beginning to a great event.
