Green with Envy!

Hooray for March and the green it promises, from the green shamrocks of St. Patrick’s Day to the optimistic buds working their way through the dirt of my garden. Today, I’m celebrating all things green wit h a monochromatic color combination featuring Ponderosa Pine, Sweet Leaf, Topiary, and a touch of Colonial White as a base.

My cards today really express my joy for spring—and my love of that “So Lucky” stamp set, C1390, I’ve been raving about. For my artwork today, I’ve also incorporated the “Embrace Life” set, C1391. They’re two spring favorites that are easy to use for just about anything!

Also, to kick off a new month, I’m continuing my tradition of sharing a calendar page you can create at home and use all month long (and then scrapbook, of course). This one uses the “Title Topper: Pieced Together” pattern from Reflections (on page 16), along with the new “In the Month of March” stamp set, C1404. It already has me looking forward to a vibrant, verdant month of many possibilities. May your March be lucky, lovely, and full of green—and don’t forget to share your artwork using this color combo by including links to your art in comments. We’ll all be green with envy!

  1. I love the "button" idea on the love card. Too cool how it fades away in the dots and also the little pattern change in the sweet leaf b and t papper. very clever!

  2. I especially like the beautiful day card. How did you make the flower? I like how the dark cs is sanded also.

  5. Jeanette, What paper did you use on the card with the shamrock. It looks like the dots have different colored centers.
Sweet Leaf is my favorite color.
    Thanks for all the inspiration.

  6. Love these cards! I also love the color green. I especially love CTMH's olive green as I use it for a lot of my hubby's Marine Corps pages.

  12. To make the flower on the "Beautiful Day" card, I used the new Just Blooms Paper Flowers New Spring Blossom Z1266 for the Beautiful Day card, I used one of the small white flowers and cut every other score indicated on the petal. The center for the flower was created from one of the small circles from On Target (Z1226) Dimensional Elements. I used a piercing tool to create the button holes. The button was threaded with Embroidery Floss from the Green Assortment Z1093.

  13. The paper used for the shamrock on the "Good Luck" card is from the Stardust L2 Paper Packet X7109B. The paper in the background of the card is from Caboodle L2 Paper Packet X7121B, each small circle has a different colored center.
