The Stevie Wonder song came to my mind again and again as my daughter Rachel prepared for her prom recently. She was so excited to be asked to the big dance… and even better, by a boy she really likes. We searched forever for the perfect dress and found one online (it came all the way from a shop in Europe). Rachel typically borrows dress money from David and pays it back with summer work. I have a feeling this particular dress will keep her working plenty of hours this summer!
Ashley helped with hair and makeup and Rachel looked positively radiant by the time her date picked her up—along with the 22 others going on this huge group excursion! They danced in the Capitol Rotunda, ate dinner in downtown Salt Lake at the Roof restaurant (one of our favorites), and simply had an overall grand time. What you may not be able to tell in these photos—but it certainly is true—is that Rachel is just as lovely on the inside as she is outside. What a fun evening!

ReplyDeleteWhat a babe! And the guys cute too. Fabulous dress! Can we rent it from her sometime???
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE how modest all of the girls' dresses are! I was recently looking at some of my friends childrens' photos on Facebook and was appalled by some of the shreds of material that were worn on prom night! Your daughters friends look like a repectable group of young adults!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty amazing how quickly our children grow up. Special times here certainly called for a special dress. Very elegany & I'm sure one of a kind. Thanks for sharing your photos.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how BEAUTIFUL Rachel has turned out to be. I can't believe that is the same little girl that you use to have unveil the CTMH catalogs many years ago. WOW... where does time go??? You must be so proud. She is stunning!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girl and fun times to be remembered forever! Looks like she has a great group of friends too!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that dress is beautiful! And so is Rachel, of course. I'm so glad she had fun . . . she looks like she has a great group of friends!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely GORGEOUS daughter; and the dress is beautiful, too. I agree with the previous poster that this group of young adults look classic and much better than some of the "skimpy" outfits I've seen in the past. Truly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH! This is the most beautiful dress I have ever seen! It helps that a VERY beautiful young lady is in it too!
ReplyDeleteWOW!
