Color Me Monday: So Happy Together!

Today's Color Me Monday focuses on colors and people that are simply happy together. The color combination features Garden Green, New England Ivy, Crystal Blue and a zesty punch of Autumn Terracotta. Work with this color palette, and I guarantee it will elevate your mood!

Today, my layout focuses on the our Art Director, Eric, and his family. Even though the journaling emphasizes that being together is better than perfection, I have to tell you that Eric is one of the most dedicated perfectionists I've ever met. (If you've seen the Close To My Heart idea book and all the amazing papers and stamps inside it, I think you'll agree! He and his team are one truly talented bunch.)

In addition to the cards, I also had a little fun with our newest My Creations product--our recipe box. It features super sturdy construction with a neat magnet closure and it takes ink and paper like a dream. Best of all, it's incredibly versatile. Even though it's been dubbed a "recipe box," I think it's ideal for 4"x6" photos, standard-sized cards, or any number of trinkets or treasures.  So fun, so fabulous, so happy together!

  1. Love this color combo!! Even more, I love the damask design on the photo box - is that a sneak peek at an upcoming stamp set or did I completely overlook it in our summer catalog?? (Which I doubt because I've gone through the catalog at least a hundred times! LOL)

  2. What a great idea - to use the recipe box to hold photos!! It would be great for all those fantastic photos that I WANT to scrap - have them all ready to go - and still be able to display them in a pretty, eye-catching way!!

  3. I love the recipe box! I am doing an upcoming workshop using this product. I just find peace in the fresh soft green and toasty orange.

The other day i thought to myself that I would love it if ctmh could make a box just like this one, however a little bigger all around. I was thinking about one that can hold more. My thought was a "card" holder box to store all my pre-made cards from all my workshops. My customers would also like a place to store their cards as well to file them by theme and keep them safe and clean.
I could see doing a workshop on this.

Another idea is to have one big enough for filing mail or paperwork in that we can deco out in ctmh papers and embellishments to sit in the kitchen by the phone station. I don't like files sitting out and i would even make one to hold my kids homework and school letters. Or one to file away month things to scrap or keep for memories.

I have so many ideas. I just love ctmh.

  4. I would also like to see a larger box that would fit A2 cards. I make all my mother's greeting cards every month. This photo box is so well designed. Easy to decorate and so functional.

This is one of my most favorite pieces this spring. Thank you!!
