Today’s color combination expresses pure happiness—it’s clean, warm, and positively joyful. And I think you can see that my artwork reflects that joy. You just can’t create somber pieces when working with Juniper, Tulip, Desert Sand, and Cocoa!
Some favorite elements: pennants, flags and banners are all the rage, and it’s easy to make one of your own just by using cardstock triangles backed with hemp. A little flair thanks to buttons and scalloped circles creates a custom look. You’ll also see I’ve used one of our newer clear scalloped cards, too. Clear cards might seem a little tricky at first, but they’re cake—just remember to adhere a circle of cardstock inside the card to complete your personal message. And finally, I’ve created something that combines both a card and the pennant look—and it’s something I know you’ll ALL be hoping to receive soon: an invitation to a crop (hopefully in September, so you can see and share all the great new products from the Close To My Heart Autumn/Winter Idea Book.)
Color combinations like this remind me of the joy that stamping brings—if you need a little pick me up, treat yourself to this bright palette and soon you’ll be saying “Oh, Happy Day,” too!
