I Will Always Remember

The other night, I was unwinding before bed by surfing on my iPad. I happened upon this video, which initially made me curious, then mesmerized, then tearful. Actually, I didn’t just cry, I wept! I was so full of pride, joy, and hope for the country I call home.

At a time when I worry with concern about this great nation, I am grateful to see people stand to honor and respect what it stands for. I am cheered to know that people are teaching their children the importance of our freedoms and the sacrifice generations have made to secure them. And I hope that you, like me, find yourself standing with your hand over your heart by the end of the video. Let us all remember what makes this country great as we prepare to celebrate Independence Day!

  7. I don't think there has ever been a time in my life, small to adult, that I haven't been moved to tears when hearing the National Anthem. We need to instill in our children a deep pride in our country and it's founding that it may never fail when the torch of keeping this country great is handed to them. Thanks Jeanette for posting this.
