Getaway Just Days Away!

In just a few days, the winners of our fabulous Scrapbook Spa Getaway contest will be arriving in Utah, primed for a reward of a lifetime! If you haven’t heard about our little contest, here’s the scoop: All Close To My Heart Consultants with US-retail-equivalent sales of $2,000 or more in the month of May were entered in a random drawing to win a slot in an autumn retreat—flights, accommodations, food, plus a full weekend of scrapbooking to complete an ENTIRE ALBUM with friends and CTMH staffers. Tons of Consultants rose to the challenge and we had more than quadruple the number of $2,000+ sellers compared to a “normal” month.

We randomly picked 8 names, plus a bonus one from our Top 10 sales people of the entire month—for a total of 9 winners—and we announced them onstage at our July Convention. They’ve been eagerly waiting ever since, and finally, it’s time to claim their prize.

A funny side story: when we put together the contest, we did the financial forecasts for it and also planned out likely expenses. We assumed that our randomly-drawn winners would come from all over our area of coverage, and that we’d probably draw a couple of winners from “close to home,” as we’re a Utah-based company and we have great Consultant numbers in Utah, California, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, etc. True enough, many of our qualifiers were from the western region. We assumed that statistical probability would do the rest: we cut the entrants’ names into slips, dropped them into a hat (OK, it was actually a box!), and pulled out winners’ names—as luck would have it, almost every winner came from east of the Mississippi! We have a winner from Vermont, Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee... You get the idea. Did this jump up our projected airfare costs? It sure did! But we also believed that these nine great Consultants’ names were drawn for a reason: to relax, to make new friends, to have a chance to create and be rejuvenated... Or perhaps for some reason none of us is even aware of yet!

Your efforts are always noted and appreciated and we’re excited to offer more unique incentives to reward even more hard-working Consultants in the future!
