Recently, I announced the 10 winners of my “Counting My Blessings” contest that I held right before Thanksgiving. The winners were so gracious and excited; it’s a blast for me to read your wonderful comments and learn more about your lives, and it’s a real joy for me to be able to add to the fun by giving away great Close To My Heart products. If you ever win a contest on my blog, I hope you enjoy your prize with my sincere thanks.
That said, I have to pause for a moment to share with you “the rest of the story.” The winners sent in their contact information and their stamp set of choice. But one of the winners e-mailed me a different request. She wrote: “I feel truly blessed to be one of the lucky ten winners. I was planning on choosing a stamp set, but then I got to thinking. I have SO MUCH. And there are so many that don’t. I was wondering if you could take the (price of the stamp set) and donate it to Operation Smile instead of sending me the stamp set? ...Happy holidays!”
I was so touched by this sweet woman’s random act of kindness and sheer generosity. Consider your request done, and with my thanks! You are, indeed, a winner.

A very sweet gesture. I have tears in my eyes. The pay-it-forward idea is so profound, but especially at Christmas. God bless.
