We Truly Are…Stronger Together

As May drew to a close, we had an interesting convergence of events: first, we had several Consultants asking if there was anything we could do to help those affected by the severe weather—tornadoes and flooding—in the southeast US. Second, we had Consultants asking if it were possible to extend our "You and Me" scrapbooking kit promotion. While the kit is beautiful and so affordable, many folks were very focused on recruiting in May (rightly so!), and so we did have remaining inventory on hand.

Although our move was rather unorthodox, we decided to seize the moment and turn these circumstances into an opportunity to help others and an idea was hatched: as you may already know, we've extended the discounted price of the kit into June (with no minimum purchase required), with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the American Red Cross Spring Floods and Tornadoes 2011 campaign. It's called our "Stronger Together" campaign—and for obvious reasons!

We only have a few thousand of these kits remaining, but if we sell through them, it's my goal to raise at least $10,000 in donations to help this worthy effort. I know that many of our own Consultants live in these devastated areas, and I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers have been with you and your families. I have been so inspired by the stories of resilience, family, and faith that have emerged during these crises. While no one can do everything, when we all do a little, we are stronger together. I know that it's unconventional to offer this product so immediately after it was part of a traditional campaign…but when an opportunity to help presents itself, sometimes you have to think creatively. (And that's what we do around here: think creatively!)

  2. Jeanette,
I'm thrilled that you turned it around so fast - not only is it a worthwhile project (they need our help so much!) but it's a beautiful kit that many people didn't get a chance to even see! Now, we've got more time to get it out there and let people know how to help and benefit at the same time.

    Thank you!

  3. Thank you for doing this! We live in the Joplin area and my daughter's house was hit. They lived just a couple blocks from the hospital that you would have seen on the news. The first thing to be rescued was a CTMH album that she had made in Jr. High for a project. While the outside was ruined, the pages remained virtually intact because of our awesome page protectors. It was a teary-eyed, but good moment of discovery. Thank you for being committed to excellence. It matters.
