Just a few days ago, we held our annual holiday and longevity reception. This is a wonderful opportunity to say thanks to our great employees at Close To My Heart and celebrate together as we remember our efforts and accomplishments over the past year. I know that many Consultants know several of our employees because they attend events or participate in videos or conference calls—but the truth is, there are dozens of incredibly talented, dedicated, loyal employees that may be less well known but are no less important to Close To My Heart. How I appreciate and value every single one!
Our Events department did a spectacular job of transforming one wing of the building into a winter wonderland (Using papers from the "Wonderland" kit, what else?). The photos hardly do it justice! The tables were laden with a bounty of great treats, and employees were allowed to revisit the buffet line as long as the eclairs and tartlets held out.
We recognized our 5-year and 10-year longevity recipients as well—starting this year, they each got to choose their own unique anniversary gift, from a frame to ear buds to a pocket knife (yes, that suggestion was inspired by David). Afterward, the vice presidents drew names for lots and lots and lots of gift certificates, and our grand prizes were two 64g iPads. You can see a stunned Stacy San Juan picking up her iPad after her name was drawn!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Wonderland afternoon. You always have my thanks and appreciation for your loyalty and service—Close To My Heart employees are the best on earth! Wishing each of you a very merry Christmas!
