Hi, it's honorary-husker Kristine here, just back with the rest of the CTMH team from Omaha. We held an amazing Leadershare event there this past Saturday, thanks to our hosts Shari Froemming and Julie Nilsson. Shari and Julie did a wonderful job organizing and planning the entire event, including a free kickoff workshop on Friday night that nearly everyone attended. (Shari was her usual punctual taskmaster, eager to ensure everyone FINISHED every project before going home! No half-completed artwork in Omaha, let me tell you!)
Saturday was packed with a nice blend of creative sessions and business inspiration, and Shari taught an awesome sales class that once again showed why she's consistently in the annual top 10 in sales companywide. We welcomed Consultants from all across the midwest—Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, to name a few—and Omaha delivered a picture-perfect day to boot. It was a lovely city, green and cosmopolitan, with such down-to-earth and friendly people. What was I expecting? I'm not sure, but Omaha delivered above and beyond.
After the event, Shari and her husband, Stacey, hosted us at their home. Stacey is an incredible chef and he fired up some Omaha steaks, mushroom flatbread, artichoke dip, and homemade ice cream and mousse for dessert. Knowing that I'm not a red meat eater, Stacey even made me a special entrée: miso salmon with snow peas and brown rice. Watch out Cheesecake Factory, Froemming's Bistro is serious competition! Great food, even better company. What an incredible treat.
We trundled to the airport the next morning, full of ardor and admiration for the fine folks of the midwest (and also full of salmon and steak, admittedly). Thank you SO much, Shari and Julie, and to every Consultant who joined us in Omaha: your fun, participation, care for each other, creativity, and genuine warmth made memories to last a lifetime!
As I look at the pictures, I start to laugh. I don't know if the people wearing the m&m t-shirts were aware that their characters were doing other things while the photos were being snapped. I couldn't help but giggle.
ReplyDeleteThe Monumental Moments team (from Colorado) are in the m&m shirts...we didn't realize what the m&ms on our shirts were doing either, until after this picture was posted! It made us giggle too! It was, afterall, that KIND of party! LOL
