Today I’m thrilled to feature more artwork created by you—my readers! If you want to see your artwork featured in a future spotlight post, feel free to send me your creations. I’ve updated my call for artwork, so check it out if you want to know what you should submit.
Today’s artwork comes from a Close To My Heart Consultant named Gina Brandstetter, from Murfreesboro, TN. Her submission features the Avonlea paper packet, which invoked strong feelings of heritage in her. She pulled out several old family photos and I think you’ll be impressed with the way her projects turned out.
What better way to showcase some cherished family memories than, well, the 6” x 6” Memory Showcase album? I love how Gina has attached the Slate Satin Polka-Dot ribbon below the paper to use it as a tie closure. Decked out with some ingeniously applied Parlor Velvet Rub-ons, a Posh Journaling spot, and more medallions from the beautiful Brocade assortment, this album is sure to be a family treasure.
Last of all is this card, which I have to agree with Gina, is quite elegant. The pattern is from Make It from Your Heart, and you’ll recognize many of the products from the previous examples: Parlor Velvet rub-ons, Brocade assortment, Slate Satin Polka-Dot ribbon, as well as a button from the Pewter Mini-Medley collection.
Thank you for sharing these creations with us, Gina. I’m sure you have inspired many people to go to their photo albums and shoeboxes full of old family photos and get them onto artwork that beautifies and celebrates their heritage. As a contributor to my Spotlight on Art entries, please send me an email (me at jeanettelynton.com) to claim your prize.
