Spotlight on Art: So Grateful

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, and I am excited to share with you some beautiful artwork to celebrate this season of gratitude. Dawn Montagano, a Close To My Heart Consultant from Canton, MI, sent me a handful of projects that she made to showcase a single stamp set: So Grateful (B1395). Dawn shared with me that she loves our B-sized sets because of their affordability and flexibility. It really is a right sized set bearing a nice price point. Let’s see what Dawn has done with it:

The So Grateful set boasts a beautiful base and shade pumpkin image. The base image gives you a plump pumpkin, while the shade image is made up of gratitude-related words shaped to fit over the pumpkin image. The stamp set is right at home on this cute pumpkin treat bag, which Dawn made using the Cricut Artiste cartridge. She’s added an embossed pattern to the surface of the pumpkin, as well as a fitting stem made from our versatile burlap ribbon! Dawn also shortened the “Thanksgiving” sentiment down to just “Thanks” using masking.

Paired with autumnal papers from the Clementine and Flirty paper kits, the same pumpkin image also looks good on this card. This fun card was also cut using the Cricut Artiste cartridge. I love how neatly the pumpkin fits that Cricut-cut shape that Dawn chose for this card.

The same stamp set can even add class to a centerpiece as gorgeous as this one. Instead of using the base pumpkin stamp, Dawn has cut paper to form a more dimensional pumpkin. She still cut them to the right measurements to accommodate the stamped words, though, and adorned the piece with several well-chosen Cricut Artiste cuts.

Last of all is this colorful turkey, which shows off our clear treat cups in a fun way. The “Thanksgiving” sentiment is from the So Grateful set, while the Turkey and the Happy are both from the Cricut Artiste cartridge. The Flirty flowers bring a tasteful splash of color to the card, and I love how Dawn has used them here.

Dawn, thank you for sharing your artwork with me and letting me put it in the spotlight. And thank you for all the great Thanksgiving ideas! I hope you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving season, full of gratitude, family togetherness, and beautiful artwork like this!
