My Favorite Stamp Set: Hoppy Easter

I hope you all had a happy Easter—I know I did! I love the food, the get-togethers with family, the egg hunts, and the Easter baskets.  If you’re looking for a stamp set to document that Easter joy, then you’re going to love this favorite stamp set chosen by Close to My Heart Consultant Elizabeth Mindemann from Quarryville, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth chose the Hoppy Easter stamp set (B1423) as her favorite because it is perfect for Easter as well as year-round cheerfulness!

Elizabeth said that one of her favorite things to do with the Hoppy Easter images was to stamp them in Black and color them in with colored pencils. I would have to agree with her that one never gets too old for coloring! The bird and flower image were stamped with Black ink and then colored in for a soft and detailed look.

This card is one of my favorites! I love how Elizabeth layered and crisscrossed strips of Chantilly B&T papers to create that beautiful pattern. The stamped butterfly image from the Hoppy Easter stamp set adds a little something extra and draws the eye. Again, the image was colored in with colored pencils and I love the gentle splash of color it adds too.

I saved the best piece for last—this card is so creative! Not only did Elizabeth stamp in black and color in the flowers and butterfly with colored pencils, but she also made cuts in the top of her strip of Chantilly B&T to make it look like grass! That is the perfect addition to this springtime card.
