  2. My parents have both joined Jesus now but while they were alive they were so supportive of me and my two syblings. Most importantly they taught us about Jesus and his gift of salvation. I miss them every day, but would not want them to give up heaven to come back here for me! Meet you at the gate!

  3. My mom really is the perfect parent. In the past 2 years, when I suffered two devastating miscarriages, my mom was there to help me through and to put a smile on my face. And if I needed time to myself, she would help with my two children. We have become best friends, and I know that if I ever need her, she will always be there. I truly don't know what I would do without her.

  4. My Mom and Dad both passed. I think of them often and these two days out of the year are the saddest. But now I make cards for my Daughter and Son-in-Laws to enjoy! I think that I could make wonderful cards for them with these two great stamp sets! Thanks for giving us the chance to win!

  6. My parents have been married for 43 years now and have shown what it takes to always make things work and shown their children how to be good parents and now they are grandparents.

  7. We will be celebrating my parent's 50th wedding anniversary in June. They show the love of Christ, love each other, work together in a ministry called RV-MAPS and are amazing parents! I only hope to live up to their example in my own parenting and marriage. Thanks for hosting this fun contest!

  8. I have the perfect parents because they have supported all of my decisions, and have always cheered me on and picked me up when I needed it! Thanks Mom and Dad

  9. My father was an important influence in my life. He taught me the value of never giving up under any circumstances. His phrase was "Hang in there Tiger" Tiger was the nickname he gave me as a child.

  10. I have the perfect MOM because she gave up so much for my two sisters and I to have the life that she always wanted us to have. She worked three jobs, put us all through a Christian education, was a single parent and never once complained. She put our needs before herself and taught us so much about unconditional love. I love her so much and am so blessed to have her for my mother.

  11. My parents are perfectly perfect in every way! They raised 5 children to love and honor the Lord and because of that heritage are now seeing their grandchildren entering various ministries.

Mom is turning 86 this month and dad just turned 88. They will be married 68 years in August and have had to be separated for the last month due to mom needing 24/7 care following a stroke. We try to get them together for visits as often as possible and they both swear they could take care of each other if we would let them.

They are dearly loved by all of us and have showed us the meaning of unconditional love!

  12. I had the perfect parents because they always let me know they loved me and would do anything for me. They shared the love of Christ with me through example and word. And they helped me to believe I could do anything I put my mind to! My mother passed away almost 10 years ago but my dad is still with us and is one of my greatest treasures.

  13. My parents raised me to love God, do right, and love others. I may be considered a little sheltered but I know right from wrong because of them. I respected them because they respected me but weren't afraid to discipline when needed. I owe all I am to a great upbringing and hope to be as good of a parent to my daughter as my parents were to me.

  14. My parents provided the most loving, stable home I can imagine They supported my brother and sisters and I in everything we attempted with loving encouragement to be the best we could be. I always say I grew up in the "Leave it to Beaver" household. My mom's name was even June. Sadly she passed before the grandkids were born, but we have all made sure they knew what an awesome grandma she would have been. They got to know my dad some before he passed when my boys were 4, 7, and 10. I miss them dearly!

  15. my Father went home to Jesus last year, and due to this and other issues; my husband and I ended up moving in with my Mother. She's been very supportive in our times of grief with both of us and our daughter.

  16. What a wonderful giveaway, Jeanette! I believe I have the perfect parents because they sacrificed much to allow my mother to stay home to raise their 6 children. My mom and dad demonstrated love and grace to us each and every day as well as the love of our Savior. I am so very blessed to have them as my Mom and Dad!

  17. Both of my parents modeled a strong work ethic to me. My Mom, had polio when she was 4 and my whole life it never crossed my mind that my Mom had a disability. She is strong, stubborn, funny and creative. My Dad has been a great example of unconditional love through all of it. Especially now after my mom went through another surgery. Then and now, such great role models getting ready to celebrate their 48th wedding anniversary. Thanks for letting me share!

  18. What wonderful stamp sets..and so versatile! I love all the projects you made with these...they are all just perfect!! Love the Dad set especially because I always look for masculine themes! My own father passed away 20 years ago at a young age but he was always so sweet and caring. He worked overtime to support his 4 kids but was always up for tossing the ball in the yard, or taking us on an adventure. He also had a major sweet tooth..which I inherited! I think of him every time I eat candy!

    ReplyDelete
  19. My parents are "perfect" because they have sacrificed so much to give me a leg up on life by making sure I have no college debt and helping me to make good investments so I can have a comfortable life and start out ahead of my peers!

    ReplyDelete
  20. My parents are not around, but would find ways to use them.

  21. I was blessed with parents who both love and support me unconditionally. They are strong, Godly, hardworking, humorous and great role models for my sister and me as well as my children. Thank you for the opportunity to win these great stamp sets!!!

  22. My parents - My mom raised me and my three siblings all by herself from the time she was 19. By then we were already busy toddlers and babies (although my youngest sister had yet to arrive on the scene!). She put herself through college and became a nurse all while facing the challenges of being a single mom! I can not say enough about her amazing efforts and the wonderful start she gave us all!
My Dad is also a wonderful man- although he was not around much when I was small he is part of my life now and I cannot imagine it without him. He is a hard-working, self-educated man who really believes if you want something in life them you need to work for it!

  23. My parents didn't give me very much or do very much for me, so I learned that I had to take care of myself. That didn't seem like an advantage at the time, but I learned to work hard and not expect others to take care of me. I am a very hard worker!!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well I too was raised by women. My mom, sister, nana, and auntie. I learned work ethic from amazing teachers and worked from about 15 on. I loved those strong women in my life and miss them all so much even today. As I face my mid 60's raising our 14 yr old grand daughter-we have tried very hard to give her the home I never had. Those stamps are good for not just Mom or Dad, but to a daughter who is a mom or a son who is a dad. Would be honored to have.

  25. My mom is perfectly imperfect! She had to pick up the slack when my father passed and we were 5 and under. She taught us the importance of respect, hard work and most importantly that it's OK not to be perfect as long as we learn something from our mistakes! To me she is perfect, to her, no one is and that's OK!

  26. Both my parents have passed, and just weeks ago lost my stepdad of 13 years. When my Mom passed in 2007, I lost my closest confidant. Soon after I met a woman who would eventually become a 2nd Mom to me. That was four years ago, not only has she become a 2nd Mom, Barbara has also been the best CTMH upline ever! I recently had to move away from her for 18 months, only 5 months remain! I miss our (much needed) time together! Thank you Barbara for ALWAYS being there for me when I need you, and even when we just create together! XXOO Donna

  27. I was lucky to raised by both a great dad and a great mom together who are still together and alive and kicking!! they taught me respect, hard work ethic and modesty that i hope to pass on to my three girls

  28. My 'perfect parents' are actually my mother-in-law and father-in-law! Since I met their son, they have been very supportive, kind and caring. They have been very helpful in many ways while my husband is looking for work.

  29. My mom was so supportive of everything I wanted to do when I was growing up. I had a medical issue when I was young and my mom fought to make sure I got to do anything else the other kids did. I was a cadet in Civil Air Patrol and she joined so we would have a female chaperon. She later became the first female commanding officer of the whole south east region. I am so very proud of my mom. She is still going strong at 84. She is a force all her own....

  30. My Mom is amazing. She spends the Fall/winters with us every year as we live cross country. Last year when my husband deployed with about 3 weeks notice my Mom had JUST left for the spring. Without even batting an eye, she repacked her just unpacked suitcases and came to live with us for 15 mos so I would have some help with my wild bunch of 5 little ones.

    I love you Mom!

  31. My Mom is the best. She is so completely selfless and always doing for others. Even now when she has a hard time doing crafts due to arthritis she still continues to make things for others.

  32. My mom is the perfect parent... as a kid I may not have always thought so, but in reality, now that I am an adult, she was/is. As a single parent, my mom taught us to be strong, stand on our own two feet, fight for what is right, and much much more. Every year my mom gets a card on Mother's day and a card on Father's day! :) On easter, we were talking about how she made childhood fun through all the struggles and tough times, that's what I remember as an overall theme to my childhood...it was fun. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. What happens if you had a horrible childhood and two totally far from perfect parents that weren't there for you?

I will say this. The way I grew up taught me all I needed to know to be the best (no one's perfect) mother I could ever be. I have raised my children to be respectful, loving and considerate. They make good grades in school, love going to school, have friends, and know they can count on me or their father (or each other!!) for anything anytime without a doubt. If I didn't have such a chaotic upbringing I may not know what the important stuff really is. It's not money or objects it's love and support.

  34. I love my father, Mother and Stepfather. My dad passed away 30 plus years ago and my step dad a few years ago today, and my mom a year ago. it has been hard losing all the people who helped mold me into the person I am today, but I am also grateful that they were there when I needed them most, they helped me become a good mother, wife, and grandmother and Christian. I hope I am half as good as they were:)

  36. I am so blessed to have such wonderful parents who love the Lord and have been married for 56 years! It was hard for them to see me, their eldest child, suffer through cancer but now 6 years later with their prayers, love and support, I am cancer-free. I have such wonderful parents and family too!! :)

  37. I have the most wonderful mom in the world! That's really all that needs to be said!!!

  38. Both of my parents are no longer alive, but each ahd special features that gave me good roll models to look up to. My mom had three little girls aged 4 years down to 11 months when her first husband died in a farming accident. She raised those girls with the help of her father and sister for 10+ years on her own. When she married my dad he took on an existing family of girls entering their teens. Quite a challenge right there! Three years later I was born to parents who were in their mid-forties and probably thought the baby days were behind them. Both were able to see me graduate from college and begin my chosen career. Dad was still alive to fill the roll of Father of the Bride when I got married at age 33.

  39. Our mother had done so much with so little throughout our childhood. Now that we're older we recognize the selfless sacrifices she made so seemlessly. (Our father was there, but not really "present"). Even at age 83, she continues to provide an example of vivaciousness and grace. Very active and still employed! Providing blessings to the great grandkids, now.

  40. My 93 year old mom is still the perfect parent! She has taught me so much about getting out there and keep moving. I had to have a knee replacement this year and am in awe that she still goes to Jazzercize class 3-4 times a week. (Her knees are better than mine)!

  41. I would have to start by noting that there is no such thing as a PERFECT parent (short of God), but I firmly believe that we are given the parents that are perfect for US! My mom has always been awesome...supportive and understanding and ALWAYS there. Even during my teenage years, when it felt like an embarrassment, my mom & dad were at EVERY event, EVERY activity, EVERYthing. They were always the loudest cheering from the stands, sidelines or parade route. Now that I'm a mom myself, I understand the value of the gift of self-confidence I gained from their boisterous, unwavering support--and how difficult it must have been to give at times. My mom was the sponsor of our dreams, helping us weave them with just enough practically to make them achievable. She gave my brothers and I both roots and wings.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I lost my wonderful Dad three years ago, but I am still blessed to have my terrific Mom. They both gave unconditional love to me and my three brothers, and then to our spouses and children as well. My Dad's wisdom, faith, humor and guidance and my mother's generosity, faith and love were a huge part of making me who I am today. I will forever be grateful that I was blessed with such wonderful parents.

  43. My parents are both the perfect parents for me, they are always just a phone call away and they are always willing to help, to give advice, to share and most importantly to love.

    ReplyDelete
  44. My parents are amazing. Not only do they help us out a ton. But i just had surgery and was in the hospital for 5 days and my parents drove an hour every night after work to see me so I would not have to be by myself. I was very thankful and happy to see them every night. I don't know what i would do without my Mom and Dad. We would probably be bankrupt if it was not for them. They are great grandparents and parents and I can't imagine life without them. My Mom is my best friend and it will always be that way.

  45. I know I have the perfect parent because he loves me unconditionally... even after all these years! And he's still there for me when I need him.

  46. My dad is my perfect parent. He just turned 93 years old. I write to him every day on a hand made card. He lives in Indiana and I am in Washington state. I stay a week when I visit.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Both of my parents have gone to be with the Lord. They were both perfect in that they had problems but never gave up and worked hard to resolved them. They were an example of what two people in love could forgive and survive. They were an excellent example of the joy that can come when we sacrifice ourselves for someone else. I treasured them both.

  48. I have the greatest respect for my Father who has taken care of my Mother for the last 10 years as early Alzheimer's has taken hold of her. I know it is the most difficult thing he has had to face in his life and he does it day after day with no hope of her ever getting better. His sense of duty and loyalty to family has always been strong. I wish we lived closer so we could help - we live on opposite sides of the country in WA in NY.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I have had physical challenges for most of my life. Favorite memories are my Dad reading to me when I couldn't breathe and my Mom helping me learn to walk again at 20.
They are both special people and the best thing they taught me was that life wasn't a pity party and to get things together and go live the best life I can.
    Wise eh?

  50. My parents have always been supportive of me and my choices. As divorced parents, they chose to get along for me and my sister, ensuring that we turned out okay. Although my mom passed away before my kids were born, my life is much easier knowing that I can call my father for help in a pinch with the kids. Especially if I get stuck at work! :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. My parents have ALWAYS supported me thru out my life. My mom is my bestest friend and my dad is always there for advice (wanted or not).

    ReplyDelete
  52. I have had the most supportive parents one could ask for. My father passed away when I was just 30 years old, for the past 18 years I have had just my Mom here with me, for all the love and support I have needed. She will turn 75 in May and now it is my turn to be there and support her during the aging process. She is showing early signs of Alzheimer's. I pray everyday for her because she has always been a caregiver and has passed that trait on to me.

    ReplyDelete
  53. My parents taught me that I am loved and that I can do anything. My mom taught me to wear stilettos and a tiara. She taught me that smart is better than cute. My dad taught me to field strip a rabbit in under 2 minutes. He taught me how to schmooze a good discount. Together, they taught me to always be curious, to laugh out loud, and to save money for the good stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  54. My parents are always there for their kids and grandkids, even through the past year while mom was getting chemo for ovarian cancer they were still worried about making sure they were there for us and the kids.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Though my mom passed in 1975, I still remember sitting with her after school, talking about my day, and we could just sit and talk til dinner time. She was so interested and engaged. I love and miss her so very much.

  56. My parent are the greatest! They raised three girls (and later two teenage boys) with loving discipline. They instilled wonderful values and encouraged all of us to be the best we could be, regardless of individual short-comings. We lived by the "Golden Rule," respected our elders and each other and the most common phrase in our house was "Thank You." I raised four sons of my own on these very same standards and they are passing these values on to their sons. Sometimes the chain of life should NOT be broken!

  57. My Mom – The best parent I could have had. She was a single working mom in a man’s world. She worked long hours in a factory make less that her male counterparts. I knew money was tight but she always found a way to make the weekends and holidays wonderful, full of traditions and love. Even when she was tiered and warn out, not a day went by where she didn’t tell me she loved me. She taught me how to be strong, honest and to work hard. She taught me how to love. She’s the best!

  58. My parents showed me what unconditional love is. They've always been there for me. They are the BEST parents :)

  59. My parents have been a wonderful example of steadfast love and Godly leadership. The older I get, the more I appreciate and value their wise presence in my life.

  60. My parents have been married for 60 years, and have been an outstanding model of love, compassion, generosity and compromise for my whole life. Even in a nursing home, they continue to support each other, staying in the same room and helping to look out for each other.

  61. My mom and dad both share the same birthdays . What makes it even more special is that they will be 85 and 80 and on April 30th. What makes it even more special is they will be great grandparents as any day we are anticipating that first great grandchild . They were both wonderful parents and then grandparents and we are so fortunate that they will be the same when they take on this we milestone.

  62. Best parents ever, right here and they are mine! Approaching their
54th anniversary and still spending almost every waking moment together, they are two of the most admirable people I have ever known. Not necessarily because they are mine, but my mother never misses a birthday, anniversary, or thinking of you moment and loves my dad. Dad provides and supports and loves my mom with his whole heart. This example is the best way to teach your kids about love. Thanks Mom and Dad!

  63. My mom is the rock of our family. I have 7 brothers and sisters and she was forced to being a single mom when my father passed away at the young age of 44. She is currently 83 years young and still the most supportive mom I know!

  64. Hi There, Not sure how much time you have but I will sum it up in as small a nut-shell as I can. I am 53 years old and was adopted as an infant by my parents. They also adopted a son, before me, who went on to put them through all that a person involved in drugs can. My parents raised me in the church and are perfect examples of what Christian parents and leaders should be. They are amazing grandparents and will be 89 years old this year. They live with us and have given us the honor and privileged of their company for the last 6 years. If I had to think of one word to describe them it would be Integrity. In all things. Greeting to you all! Debbie May

  65. Perfect parent? When I was a teenager I'd probably not agree - but now - absolutely. My mom & dad were proponents of tough love, family, and faith. Those that pray together stay together. Sunday night dinners were important and we always all sat down at the table together. My mom has an unwavering faith that has helped her through good times and not so good times. My dad passed away in 1995 but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him with love. I am a strong, confident, independent woman today because my parents were pefect - for me.

  66. I think my parents are amazing! They raised 5 kids and have been married for almost 40 yrs. My mom homeschooled all of us and managed to keep her sanity:) She did that while we traveled and sang from church to church across this great US. We had a very unique, but exciting life. We learned to work together as a family. My dad is a musical genius (in my opinion). He plays a dozen instruments and is constantly composing. He gave me a love for good music. My mom is one that always is learning something new. At 40 she decided to learn the harp. She studied like crazy and practiced all the time and today she is a lovely harpist. At 50 she learned how to work the Finale music program so that she could put some of dad's music in a book (it would take a life time to copy all of my dad's music). At 60 she is working on starting a business. She just doesn't stop. Most importantly, they taught us to love the Lord and to read His Word every day! Both parents inspire me and I thank God for giving them to me.

    ReplyDelete
  67. My parents have always been there for me whenever I have needed help. My father even drove with me cross country to move me back home after a relationship didn't work out. Even though he had told me not to move, he didn't tell you "I told you so", when he came and helped me move back. He was just happy to have me home!

  68. You just don't realize how wonderful your parents are until you lives miles away from one that is not in the best of health and the other one who has been gone long before he should have. Enjoy the moments and the people you love everyday!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Both of my parents are gone, but their legacy lives on by the things they have taught me! All I can hope for is that I will be able to teach the things, that my parents have me. The love of Christ, strength, endurance, faith, so many other things. Even though, I lived away from them for much of my life, my mom has tried many times to visit us so she could get to know my boys. They grew up getting to know their "Oma" well. Their memory will be treasured forever.

  70. I lost my last parent, my Mom Beverley Archibald, October 23rd last year at the age of 72 and my Dad, Lorne Archibald, May 22 1989 at the age of 52, but they were the absolute best parents a girl could ask for. My father died so young, I was 24 years old and my brother 19, but in that short time Dad made us feel like we were the only and most important people in the world to him. He worked had as a mechanic and taking on extra jobs like playing in a band so giving up alot of his weekends, breaking and shoeing horses along with a host of other things, to make sure my Mom could be a stay-at-home Mom for us kids. When he did have free time it was all about us! Sure he would sneak in a hockey game on TV no and then but mostly just about hanging out with us! Dad would come home dog tired after work and even though a night in the lazy boy was all he wanted, he would be greeted by me having our horses saddled and sandwiches packed wanting him to go riding with me, and it did it without thinking twice! He played games with us, turned work on our hobby farm into fun like slash burning in the spring became a giant bonfire and roasting hot dogs! He loved his family more than I can even express to you.

Mom greeted us after school each day with cookies & milk, we never had store bought bread in our lives, sat for hours making our clothes, helping with homework, and she worked her way back from a massive stroke on her 40th birthday which they said she would never leave a wheelchair from, but no one was going to raise her kids and so she proved the doctors all wrong ending with a brace on one leg and a cane only if she left the house. The biggest show of the grace and forgivingness of my Mom was when her doctor told her that the lump they found on her mammogram was nothing, then a few months later when we could feel the large lump in her breast and he told us it wasn't even breast tissue and we were over reacting even though there was so much breast cancer in her family. I nagged him into doing an ultrasound and finally he agreed to order one but a NON emergency only so it would be a minimum 6 weeks for the appointment. We believed him but would be able to breathe once the test was done in 6 weeks. 6 weeks past, I called the hospital and the test was never ordered! They told her to get to a doctor but the offending family doctor was away, again, and so the duty doctor saw her...I knew the minute he touched her breast, his face said everything! She went through chemo, breast removal, losing her hair etc., but at least it was over and we vowed never to see our family physician again. 6 months later we found out the breast cancer metastasized to her brain and 4 months later she died, but not before accepting his flowers when that inept doctor showed up at our door and with all the grace in the world, she smiled and forgave him with "everyone makes mistakes". Her life was stolen from her but she still didn't want to make anyone feel bad. She was the best Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma when she died.

Parents don't get much better than that! So while they are no longer here I will be making a card for them and putting it in my scrapbooks on Mother's Day & Father's Day.

    Blessings,

    Melitta Ball

  74. My parents and I have always been close but two years ago when I moved halfway across the country they came to visit and loved out new home. A couple of months later a house down the block was for sale and they bought it, sight unseen, just to live closer to me. I was almost trying to talk them out of it . . . what if they didn't like it? What if it wasn't really their style? They didn't care. They wanted to live close to me and my family and more central to the rest of my siblings. Because I am the only daughter I always knew I'd help to take care of them when they are aging, and now they have even made that easier for me. They give us lots of space but every time we are together they act like they are just overjoyed to spend time with us. They truly are the perfect parents!

  75. My parents are the best...they've been there for all of us kids through thick and thin. Now that we've grown, married and have kiddos of our own, they're there for them as well...Best place for celebrating the holidays? ... My parents home! They've shown such love, compassion and enduring strength since their beginning and have taught us to "hang in there" when the going gets tough or to celebrate the "good times" when we've been so blessed! Thanks for letting me share "my perfect parents"!

  76. My perfect parent is my Mother-In-Law. My mom passed away in October of 2012 after a long, courageous third battle with breast cancer. My mother-in-law never blinked an eye and stepped right into her shoes (although they are still a couple of sizes too big). I actually asked to call my mother in law "mom" 4 years ago when I started dating her son...I knew we'd be life partners, but never knew if we'd marry...we happily did two years ago. We talk frequently on the phone and share laughs and tears...she is the next best thing to having my mom! <3

  77. My mom and dad truly love my sister and I unconditionally. They have always been there to help us out. My parents love their sons-in-law as if they were their own sons. When my husband and I spent all of our money travelling and were stranded in New York, my parents wired us money no questions asked. Now my sister and I have daughters of our own. It's amazing to see my parents give this same love, patience, and kindness to their granddaughters. Being a parent has made me realize how amazing my own parents have been.

  78. All our parents are super special to each of us, mine are no exception. My mom is a retired nurse and I will always remember how she cared for me when I was ill, both as a child with her cool hands and some how always knowing I needed her before I even called out for her! As an adult in my fight with breast cancer, she was right there taking care of my duties so I wouldn't worry and could concentrate on getting well. Now she is fighting her courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Who nurses the mommy and nurse?? I've realized through this illness that NO one on earth loves you like your mom does. Thanks for opportunity to win. XO to mommies everywhere.

  80. My 'perfect parents' were actually my Nana and Papa who always made sure my brother and I had what we needed even though neither of our parents raised us for more than a few years.

  81. My parents are both gone now, but my Dad was a great example; an honest and hard working person. He bought me my first car and helped me establish credit by co-signing for that first set of tires. He taught me to save money and if I set my mind to it, I could do anything!

  82. Although many may contend the fact that my parents were perfect, I will say they were perfect in every way for me and my little sister. My mother always believed in us and taught us that we could do anything we put our hearts into...and she supported all of our crazy decisions too. My father taught hard work and determination will make us successful, and allow us to play hard and enjoy every silly minute in between that much more. I love them both SO much, and I hope that I can carry the amazing lessons they have taught me to my own children. Thank you SO much for such a wonderful opportunity to share our appreciation for our parents and win something special to boot :)

  83. My mom has supported me through everything in my life, even through my divorce, which was shortly after we lost my dad to pancreatic cancer. She has always been a strong woman, even in a crisis! I love my mom and don't know if I could have been a single mother of three without her.

  84. My perfect parents are defenatly someone to look up to. My dad was 18 when I was born and my mom was only 15 years old. They got married and worked really hard for everything they have accomplished. They had there ups and downs but are still together. I can say they are great parents to look up to. They love my CTMH projects.

  85. I am an only Child. My Parents were 34 and 44 when I was born. They had been married 14 years before I was born. When I was 6 months old, it was discovered that my mom had uterine cancer. The doctors told her that they could give her a year to conceive, but that they could not guarantee that she would live long enough to deliver or raise me and possibly another child. My parents gave up their desire to have another child, and my mom had the surgery. She lived another 27 1/2 years before dying of cancer. My father died 2 years later. I will always treasure the memories I have of them.

  86. Oh these stamp sets are perfect to share with my friends and family...to make beautiful gifts....
My parents "perfect" to me, see we were brought up like the Waltons, there are 7 of us children, we didn't have money but we had the love of family and hard. My father is gone from us now, which we love and miss him everyday...but my "mother" now she is a perfect example of "never give up no matter what life throws at you" see about 9 years ago she had three strokes in one weekend and the last one left her paralised on her whole left side, leaving her only one useful hand and foot-she lives her life in a wheelchair. She fought to go home and she did State of Maine made her the poster child of their Medical Journal and she was on TV sharing her story. The past two years she has lost alot of her strenth and now needs more help...but she fought to stay in her home and taught herself how to do everyday stuff with one had (like how to peal potatoes with a block of wood and nail) she is my hero.
thanks for this chance to win! I would share my creations with my mother. She has taught me to be strong and stand.

  89. I have the BEST parents in the world!! My Mom is willing to help at any time. I have been working on my masters degree for the past few years and she has went over and beyond what I would expect from her. My Dad is wonderful as well. He took two months off from his job and helped us build our house. I couldn't ask for better parents!

  90. I wish I could say my parents were perfect and I had a wonderful childhood, but that is not the case. My parents gave us all they had, they just did not have much to give. It was only after I married a wonderful Christian man and got into his family did I realize what parenting was all about. They had very little material-wise, but welcomed me with open arms. My parents were both gone by then and my in-laws became my parents. They showed me what unconditional love was all about. My mother-in-law taught me the skills I needed to become a good parent rather than following in my own parents footsteps. Thank God for her. She is gone now and not a day goes by that I don't use a skill that she taught me. My father-in-law had a favorite saying. He would say "If a man will lie about something small, he will lie about something big.: He lived those words and taught me the value of them. I am now 70 years old and I miss them more than I missed my own parents. Thank God for Godly in-laws and for their unconditional love.

  95. I have the best parents ever. They are perfect for me and have always stood by me. I am by far NOT the perfect daughter and my parents have not always agreed with my decisions. My parents have always believed in me. When I decided to become a consultant (six months ago) they (along with my husband) purchased a Cricut Expression 2 for my birthday. I use it about everyday with my Art Philosophy and Artiste Cartridges from Close To My Heart.I would love to win these stamps to make their cards this year!

  99. Both of my parents are great, in their own right. My Mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when she was 38, but they think she acquired it in her 20's. It was such a blow to our lifestyle of showing horses and living on a farm. By the time I graduated high school, she could barely walk and now is in a nursing home confined to a scooter. My Dad had to work two jobs just to support us when my Mom couldn't work any longer. She was a writer for Americn Greetings and it was too challenging for her to come up wight the verses she needed to turn in on a consistent basis. My Mom's illness put a lot of strain on all of our relationships and made me grow up faster than I may have otherwise, but my parents always tried to let me do the things I wanted to do. They didn't get to sit in the stands at my volleyball games or plays, but they always supported me and still do.

  101. My parents are far from perfect, as are all of us. But, I love my parents for who they are and for what they have taught me throughout life. Sure I will do things differently than they did, but that is what growing up and living life is all about.

  103. My parents were not perfect people, but they were perfect for our family. They always tried their best, and made mistakes, and learned from them with us. Through their love, the mistakes were learning for us all. Now as a parent I love them even more for it. I still have my Mom, but my Dad died of pancreatic cancer 2 years ago, and I still miss him as if it were yesterday. My Mom has been sick lately, and it has reinforced to me how one day she won't be here anymore either. I'm tearful of these thoughts, but I know they will always be part of my heart, no matter what. Thanks for such a thought provoking opportunity.

Sadly my father passed away when I was 21.I still miss him very much.He was a good provider.A hard worker. I miss his laugh, the way he smelled and how well me keep our lawn.We had the greenest grass on our street.Heehee. He had the bluest eyes.My mom does too. 108. My parents were very different from all the other comments that I have read here. They werent good parents. But from them I have learned how to be a good parent because I dont want to repeat their mistakes for my own children. But that all being said I had fantastic grandparents on my dads side. For who I am very grateful for.

  109. My parents have been truly Awesome and Supportive to my three children and myself. About five months ago I lost my husband and my kids lost their dad. Since that time my parents have gone out of their way to help in our time of need. My dad has become Mr. Fix-it working on my heat, plumbing and mom jumps in helping me with my chores –laundry, dishes or whatever she sees that needs done. My parents are there every day for my kids. They pick them up from school (3 different schools) take them to practices, doctor and dentist appointments. They have always been supportive and caring but since my husband’s passing they make sure they are there for all of us. It would be wonderful for my kids and me to make something special for them to show our true appreciation with these wonderful stamp sets.

I also had a very caring and loving step-father who too passed away over ten years ago. I am blessed to still have my mother and though she is getting older and frail, she still does kind things for me and my husband and all of our extended family. My mother-in-law is a good friend and fun to do things with. I am a very lucky woman to have so many "parents" in my life who care about me.

  113. My parents have always supported me no matter what I've done. They taught me to think before I leap but they also taught me to leap. They are inspirational as my dad at the age of 58 went to become a Pastor and my mother can handle any situation that life throws at you.

  114. I was raised by my mother after the sudden passing of my dad when I was 8 years old. All I can say is that my mother taught me how to work hard and how to love unconditionally. 115. First, I have been blessed by the many comments about dear parents and a common thread that runs through the appreciation is the Christian heritage. I feel that I am the most blessed person in the world!!! My parents did not just teach God's way- they lived His way through their lives! I have NEVER seen them fight! Promise! They will celebrate their 50th anniversary this summer and I cannot express my love and appreciation that I have for them!

They have overcome so many obstacles throughout the years and it is amazing to see God's hand working through them.

  118. My perfect parents are my grandparents. Pappa and Pappa's Grandma were and still are the best. These two showed me unconditional love, brought me into their home, taught me how to love and give love and fed me well! I learned how to hand clothes on the clothes line, fold them properly, wash and put away dishes, have hot-cocoa tea parties on the porch and play dominoes. They had a special drawer at their house just for me to snoop in. Every time I looked in it they had something new for me to discover. I felt a great loss when each of them died. They live on through me.

  119. Though he's no longer with us my father was the perfect parent. He showed unconditional love even in the face of a wild and rebellious teen who did all she could to push his buttons. I remember him with love and have many scrapbook pages in his honor.

  120. My dad is a very hard worker and has been his entire life. He loves to enjoy life and do everything and anything outdoors. He is not an emotional person like I am, so when I was young we had our ups and downs. My mom is far from perfect. I learned a lot of what not to do from my mom because I was determined to not become like her. Now that she is a grandma she is bettering herself and becoming a stable part of our lives. Between them I learned how to be a mature and responsible adult. I have learned that if I want something to happen I need to hop up and make it happen. My dad and I are so very close. He has taken me and my child in his home again when we were down on or luck and he has never judged me for any of my mistakes or misfortunes. He is the best grandpa on this planet! Now the only thing that could make me and my dad more alike would be if he grew a creative bone. ;-)

  121. Though my Mom is in her late 60's and My Dad in his 70's they each serve as Constant caregivers to loved ones. They divorced when I was very young but have each always been extremely supportive of my siblings and I. For nearly a decade my Mother has been taking amazing care of her brother who has Advanced Multiple Sclerosis. My Father spends hours each day making sure my stepmother is well cared for after a stroke she suffered several years ago. This includes traveling by bus to get to her. Neither of them has very many means and each often sacrifice of him/herself to care for the one they love. They are tremendous role models for me and for their grandchildren. We all love them very much.

  125. My Mom and Dad did not tell me how to live. They lived and let me learn from their example. Last year they celebrated their 50th Anniversary. In January, Dad was hospitalized with lung problems and his health continues to suffer. On Easter morning, he was on life support and the doctor began talking to us about decisions. On Monday, he pulled all the tubes out and miraculously his lungs took over.

In February, Mom was diagnosed with advanced ALS.

I am spending a lot of time at home this year and treasuring every moment I have with them.

  127. If I can be HALF the parent to my children that both my parents have been to my siblings and I -I will consider myself an awesome parent! My parents always spoiled my siblings and I with their LOVE and TIME. We did not go on extravagant vacations, but we always had the BEST vacations, we did not get things every time we went to the store or whenever we wanted things but boy! Christmas, Easter and our birthdays were always incredible. Now that my parents are grandparents they spoil their grandchildren with their time. I am always amazed to see my parents interact with all my nieces and nephews. They have so much energy and patience. They do MORE with their grandchildren than most parents do with their children! I danced with my dad on my wedding day to the song "You Are My Hero" by Bette Midler. Yes Dad, you certainly are my hero and always will be. Love you BOTH the whole world!

  128. I wish I had one of the great posts that I have read here. I wish I could say that my parents taught me a lot and that I am a better person because of it....but I can't. My parents divorced when I was 10 and from then on, my life was in turmoil. My dad remarried and his new family got everything we didn't. My mom tried so hard and at the end of her life, was a better person. She passed away 3 years ago this week. I would love these stamps because I would like to think that my situation made me the best mom I could be to my own children. And now we have 2 grandchildren - a boy and a girl - that we love. I know that I am the BEST grandmother to thos babies, as I was mom to my kids. I want them to have what I didn't. (I hope this wasn't too much of a downer post)

  129. I had the perfect parents because they were not perfect. They made mistakes, they made wrong choices, and they spent too much time working. But the best thing they managed to do for us was Love us. No matter what, we all new we were loved. They taught us the importance of being a family & being there for each other. I have 5 brothers & sisters, we don't see each other as much as I wish but we all know that if we need each other for anything, all we have to do is ask. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that you always have each other in your corner. Mom & Dad were just normal, hard working, kind & loving people. They made us realize you don't have to be perfect to be wonderful.

They taught me to be respectful of others. They continue to teach me by how they live their lives each day. My dad gets up at 4:30 a.m. every single morning to read his Bible and have his quiet time with God. When I have problems, I know that my prayer warriors are praying for me. They are the first two I call when I have an exam or something difficult going on in my life. Not only are they my perfect parents but they are the perfect grandparents for my children. I hope that I am just like them when I get to be a Mimi! :).

  132. Where do I begin. My Dad was lost a leg to cancer long before I was even thought of. After two kids and one failed Marriage he met and fell in love with my Mom and I arrived 5 years later. Having only one leg you would think that he wouldn't be able to do a lot of the things that most Dad can do with their kids. Not my Dad! He taught me how to play baseball, and how to mow the lawn, and we would sit on the floor and play with his model train. He and mom owned their tax preparation business and even though Spring was their busy time they always managed to squeeze a trip to Ice Capades every March. I was fortunate enough to have my Dad for 13 wonderful years. It wasn't much but I treasure every moment that I got to spend with him. In 2005 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and my mother was my ROCK. It didn't matter how busy she was trying to run the business, she drove me to every appointment, and sat and talked to all the doctors with me. She never missed a surgery, no matter how small, she was always there with me through everything!! And that is why my parents are perfect!!

  133. I will always be grateful for my wonderful parents. My Dad let Mom take center stage most of the time, but we knew he was there for us. My Mother must have been a saint because she always had a houseful of energetic children and never seemed to loose her cool. The thing about my parents that I most admire though, is that in their life together they lost three of their four children, and yet were never bitter or angry. I learned faith, and grace, and what it is to be committed to loving from them.

They are wonderful people and so in love that I can only hope to find myself in a relationship as great as theirs. 136. I can honestly say I am blessed to have the parents I have!! I they were and are such great roll models. being a wife and step-mom I am grateful that I have them to fall back on. My dad taught me through his actions what to expect from a husband and my mom taught me through her actions how to be a proverbs 31 wife and mother. I am so thankful that I still have my parents, they are getting up in age. I now live 3 hours a way but I make several trips through out the year to see them. They are a lot smarter then I use to give them credit for and this will help me when my 10 year old turns into a teen. 138. My parents are the best...I grew up never knowing when times were tough. My parents didn't want us to feel the stress that they were ever feeling. I never knew about my parents finances or troubles, as no child should. Childhood is supposed to be a time filled with love and fun and unconditional love, and mine was. Every year my parents took their one week vacation time together and made sure we did things as a family. We ate dinner EVERY night as a family. I am truly blessed. My parents raised us to be independent, honest, full of integrity. My siblings and I all moved away from home (all in different states) and still manage to stay very close. As my parents age their health issues become a stressor to us all, but we are all there for them, as they have always unconditionally been there for each of us. Its hard being so far away (across the nation!) but our family love and bond has only grown stronger. My mother once told me that no heartache is greater than watching your child's heart ache and not being able to fix it. That to me spoke thousands of words and at the time, I all of a sudden looked at my mom in a new light. She also said she rarely apologizes for choices she made, because, she always did what she and my Dad felt were in our best interests. I respect that so very much. My Dad is the comforter, the joker, the humor in our lives. Everything can have a laughable moment without being disrespectful. Even as an adult, my parents will ALWAYS be my MOM and POP, the people I want to share every joy with, and the people I call when life isn't dishing out the best of things. They gave us an amazing foundation to grow up and become the individuals we each are...and all still being part of one family.

They both grew up poor (my mom had no running water in her house) and now they have a successful business and a lovely home all because they worked hard and earned it! I strive to have a good, happy life like they have! God has blessed me with wonderful parents!

She did this with out complaining, yo make sure we had all we needed. She has been very supotive to us and now her ten grandchildren. She is truly the best.

  142. While my parents are now gone, I'm proud to honor my son, Robert, who is the best dad any young boy would ever want to have. Robert has gone through several years of hardship, both with his marriage and financially. His wife deserted him and their beautiful 2-year-old son two years ago. Seth has since been diagnosed as developmentally delayed and on the autism spectrum. Due to Robert's determination, Seth is not only attending Head Start and getting the speech therapy he needs, but he is on target to being Kindergarten-ready when school begins in August. Robert works the graveyard shift so that he can be home to care for Seth when he's not in school.

I am so proud that Robert has stepped up to the plate and is taking care of his son's every need. Someday Seth will be old enough to realize that his dad is his hero.

  145. My perfect parent is my father-In-Law, Woody Lovill. I did not have a wonderful childhood, and no real role models to follow and it is by the grace of God that I am where I am today. But my Father-In-Law was and is such a strong father figure to my husband's family and through his guidance, I learned what belonging to a true family was all about. I went back to college when my children were small and finished, because at last, I had the support I needed. At my graduation, they asked that all the parent's stand up so that we the students and the rest of the audience could applaud them for their support and while my parents who did attend did not stand, he did and he stood proud with tears in his eyes and proved to me that there are good guys in this world and he definitely was one of them. I will always love him for that.

Five years ago, his daughter, gave birth to a child she could not care for. At 65 years of age he and I got in his car and drove to Corpus Christi, Texas (we live in Covington, Louisiana) and picked the baby up from the hospital and brought him home. He was in hero mode from the moment he heard about the baby and pretty much still is. My husband and I adopted the baby soon after and he has been a shining light in our life, but if it wasn't for Dad, it wouldn't have happened at all.

Those are just two examples of his devotion to his family. He has always come through for his family and would give his life for any one of us. That is why he is my perfect parent:)

  148. My parents created a happy and simple home for us to live in. They provided encouragement, helped build up our confidence, and created a loving family atmosphere. My mom passed away when I was 18 but I was able to take what she taught me and model it for my now family. My dad passed away when I was 32 so he got to see my family. We bought the same house I grew up in 2 years ago (a year after he passed)and I hope to provide the same loving family environmment in the same house that is full of so many wonderful memories of them!

  149. My parents have always been the best in the world, I even have friends who wished for them as their own, sorry kept them for myself! My dad has passed but mom still carries on all the love and support they both gave to myself and 4 siblings. Dad always had a kind word no matter how tired he was from working 2 jobs and he also had a sense of humor.I became a single mom at 20 and mom and dad accepted my son with no judgements and helped to mold him into the amazing young man he has become today. I know I have been blessed with their love and the wonderful relationship they created with my family over our lifetime. Mom at 87 is still there whenever I need an ear or advice. I can not lie I had the best Dad and still have the best Mom in the world. I thank god for them and the grandparents they were for my son.

  150. As an adopted child, I feel so blessed to have the parents that I do. They opened their hearts to me and my sister when I was 3 years old. They gave me a sense of security and love while growing up and I would do anything for them. As they get older, I am now always there for them as they have been for me. I love them and wouldn't trade them for anything. Thank You mom & dad....I LOVE YOU

  151. I was blessed with a mother and father who showed me that in 58 years of marriage, they could still love unconditionally. They never showed favoritism. Each of their children and grandchildren believed they were their favorites; each was special in their eyes. A phone call, a pat on the back, a gentle shoulder to lean on, mom and dad were always there. Time changes, dad has passed and mom is frail. Roles have reversed. I and my husband are the people that mom turns to. Now fond memories carry on and it was mom and dad that led us to be who we are today. I see bits and pieces of mom and dad in my children, respectful, kind, gentle and caring; and I smile. We are their legacy!

  153. My "perfect parents" are my grandparents who helped my mom raise me. They gave me opportunities in life that my mom was unable to offer as a single mom.

  155. My father worked long hard days as a barber to support his family. My mother worked part time jobs so that she could earn some extra money to spend on her three children. She always wanted us to have nice things, be involved in sports, and do a lot of fun things with our friends. Today, my mom is a great support to my business and loves to attend events with me. It gives us an opportunity to spend time together. My dad served our country in the Navy. Last summer we went to a memorial that honored a classmate of his that lost his life when his submarine sank. I am using the photos I took of my dad {and me}that day to make him a hinged display tray for Father's Day...he is truly my hero.

  156. My parents both passed when I was 25 years old. I only had a short time with them but they are always with me (if only in spirit). They both left me the gift of laughter whether at myself or with someone. My mother gave me the give of loving to craft and my father gave me the drive to try and turn this fun hobby into a small business.

  158. I have the perfect parents because the showed me, with their daily actions, that the most important rule to success in live is to have values, and that happiness doesn't have a price attach to it. My mom is my biggest inspiration, still, even after 14 years with Alzheimer, and unfortunately laying in bed for the last 3 years, no talking, but smiling and happy (on her own "Disney World"). You may think that it is kind of hard to be someone's inspiration on that situation, but yes, she is my model of inspiration. Even passing through all that, she is still laughing, showing me, even when she have "no idea" of what she is doing, that it doesn't matter on what situation you are, you have to be happy because you are still alive. Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful, hard workers, great moms out there!!! :-)

  159. I have the perfect parents they always supported me in everything I have tried to accomplish, but most of all they taught me to be giver, give back to the church, to my community to the needy, That is what they did in their daily lives and taught me to do this also.

  160. My dad died when I was just 71/2 and my berother was 51/2. My mom was the best mom to us, working hard and rising above her struggles, always strong and loving. she did marry again when we were in high school. Our step-dad was a saint. Taking on two high-schoolers just worshipping my mother. They were the best grandparents my kids could have asked for. I was blessed to have had these three parents.

  161. I think I have the perfect parents, because they did the best job they could of raising me & my sisters. They weren't always perfect - I think that might be the best part.

  162. Just wanted to say that I am so thankful to the Lord for giving me my perfect parents! They are the very best. They were married at the age of 16 and 18. I came along shortly after. They struggled as many young couples do but they stuck together through it all. They raised my brother and with an admiration for the Lord and for family. They taught me not only how to be a great mother myself but also how to be a Godly wife. They taught me how to make a marriage work and how to bring up Godly children. They were there for me when I became a teenage mom and single mother as well as many years later when I was diagnosed with cancer. They showed me how to put my life into Gods hands and to not be fearful even in the face of evil. I know that many people have wonderful parents but in my opinion I have the best!!!!!

  163. I have a mother who has given all and devoted her whole life to us. At one point in her life she was a single mother of four with three little extra children living with us. In a small town in utah where she worked full time as a green house manager. My mother suffers from a very deadly disease call PNH only 80 people in the world have it. She is the oldest person living with this disease at only 50. My mother is the only one in the united states with children who have survived their birth and she had four! So to a women who has given all to her children and others children. Who wasn't expected to live through having children. Still continues living one day at a time. She may not be perfect but to me she is the strongest person I know. She is my mother and best friend. Thanks you!

  164. I believe I had the "Perfect Mom". Although I only had her for 6 short years all of my memories of her are amazing. There was nothing she could not do. She sewed all of mine and my sisters clothes. She also crocheted, cooked, gardened, she even worked out on the farm. She did everything with us. She even scrap booked 45 years ago, I have a scrap book that she started for me and I love going back and looking at it. I am very sad that I did not have a lot of time with her but I am Thankful for the time I did have with her. She showed me what kind of Mother that I wanted to grow up to be. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share how incredible my Mom was.

  165. My Mom has passed but my Father is still with us and I could not have asked for parents who were better than the two of them. They were Foster parents for over 45 years and they never treated the children that came into our home any different than they did those of us that were there natural children. They had so much love in their hearts that they had to spread it around. When my husband suffered a brain aneurysm and I was 6 months along with my daughter they were there immediately and continued to support us through all the dark times that we had and when my husband and I lost our son in a mine accident they were there again to hold us up and support us through the worst time any parent could ever have. Even when my mother was suffering through cancer she was still engaged with all of us and still taking care of each and everyone. I could never have asked for better parents and I feel so blessed to have had the best.

  166. My mom is the best mom a kid could ask for. My dad passed away when I was really little in a farming accident and my mom raised my brother and I alone ever since. On top of that I have a condition called Dystonia that left me in a wheelchair until i was 12 years old. She somehow only worked during school hours and and was always there for us. Now that I have a child she continues to be a great grandma helping me whenever I need. I would not trade my mom for any mom in the world!!

  168. As I have become a parent I realize everyday how much my parents are the best! They gave and continue to give me so much love, encouragement and support. They sacrifice so much to be there for me and my siblings. Even though they are the best parents they are even better grandparents. Daily my children ask to see their Nanny and Papa. How blessed I am to have such good examples in my life.

  169. My Mom was a single mom back in the 1950's, when it wasn't so common. Our father left my Mom with 4 little girls, and never looked back. Fortunately, my Grandma lived with us, and between my Mom and my Grandma, we never knew anything except that we were loved immensely by them and by our heavenly Father. It's funny, it was only when I was grown up did I realize how poor we were growing up. But my Mom and Grandma bestowed so much love in our household that we were rich in treasures much greater than money.

  170. I lost my father over 20 years ago. My mom and dad have been the best parents ever. Very supportive, sweet and kind throughout my life. Our education was very important to them. We didn't have a fancy house growing up but we didn't have to worry about one dime of our college expense. More than that it is the day to day putting us at the top of the list just to listen and hear the latest news. My dad never got to meet his grandchildren but that would have been his greatest joy. He always loved books and would spend hours in the bookstore. My son is the same way! Their favorite soda for both of them is sprite. My son never knew that. It is neat to see some similarities like that carried down.

  172. My parents have been there for me always. My mom especially is always willing and ready to help me out. When our children were young she was always willing to watch them for me when I needed help and now she is doing the same with her great grandchildren. We have all enjoyed sitting in her lap and being read to. She has literally read some books hundreds of times!

  173. This is a little unusual as I am writing about my daughter and son-in-law who just became new parents to our first grandchild. I think they are already off to a wonderful start as parents to their baby daughter. Despite all of the financial, emotional road blocks they have faced as a couple, they have remained positive. Every step of the pregnancy was seen as a celebration. Both of them sought our advice and guidance throughout the 9 months and when the big day came not only was I invited to be at the hospital but welcomed into the birthing room where I witnessed the beautiful miracle of our grandaughter entering the world.I feel especially blessed to take on the role of grandmother. The circle of life is with our family. Both my daughter and son-in-law want their daughter to grow up with a strong sense of their faith. It is their positive outlook on life, their commitment and support for one another that makes me proud of them as new parents.

  174. I was blessed to have my father in my life until his death when I was 21. Years later, my stepfather carved his way onto my heart as well. He has since passed away.

As life is a circle, my daughter has given us a wonderful son-in-law and two beautiful grandchildren... I see the love my father and stepfather had for me in the way my son-in-law looks at his children.

  175. My Mother has put her life on hold for me many times during my life. I was diagnosed with leukemia at 15 and my mother quit her job to stay and battle it with me. Through all my medical problems she has been by my side. Now she helps her grandson, my son, with his daily battle with type 1 diabetes. She is the most caring wonderful mother and grandmother around!!

  177. My father passed away when I was only 16 years old, he was a hard worker and did everything he could to provide for our family so my mom could stay home with the three of us kids. His death was devasting, and I was very close to him. My mom picked up the pieces and went to work for the first time since being married to him at the age of 19. She has been there for me and supported me each and every step of the way. And she gives 110% every day in everything she does, she is the most loving, caring person that you would ever meet. I only hope that I can be as great as a mom as she is to my two children!

  178. My mother is the PERFECT parent! She has been there for me in ways no one could ever dream of. She sacrificed her time to be with me each time I had one of my children and came home from the hospital. When I was on bed rest she took care of my kids and acted as a nanny while my husband worked. My mother helped me survive high school and college and would show up to every football game or competition just to support my music and marching band (whether she was sick or not). My mother helped me when I went through an abusive relationship. When I thought I had hit rock bottom my Mother was the one by my side to help me up. She has played the role of friend, nanny, a neutral party, grandma and most important a parent. She watches our children each and every day just so my husband and I can work to provide for them. She asks for nothing in return except for a Vernors or Coke here or there. When I married my husband, my father wanted nothing to do with the wedding nor walk me down the aisle. It was my mother who helped with the expenses, planned my whole wedding with me, drove me to numerous appointments, and cooked all the delicious food. I can honestly say that I have the perfect mother! She has and always be there when I need her! :) She is my best friend!!!

  179. My Mom is Awesome! My father passed away when we were very young, She turned into our "everthing". She did everything from teaching us to cook to helping us learn how to play sports. Attended every game, event, and concert. She taught us how to love each other and depend on each other. To this day we are all close and love getting together with each others families. I love being with her! She has been the best example in my life!
