What a perfect day it is: the weather is warm and the sky is clear, it's a peaceful Sunday with an opportunity to worship with family, and it's Mother's Day!
I'm so grateful for this day set aside to acknowledge all the women in our lives who "mother" and nurture us. I feel very grateful for my own mother, whose impact and presence shaped my life and who was a constant presence in my early life. I love her deeply. In addition, there have been so many great women who have shaped and supported my path. I love having a day to reflect on the impact your patience, wisdom, friendship, and sisterhood means to me … I wish I had the time and space to name each of you here. Even more, I wish I could hug each of you and look you in the eye while sharing my heartfelt thanks for your love. To my mother, sisters, friends, and my sweet daughters who give me such hope and purpose for the future: I love you and I am grateful for the blessing you are to me.
