Wild Fun—Once Again!

Here at Close To My Heart headquarters, we recently celebrated in sizzling style at our annual company summer party! Our incredible employees and their guests--members of their families and the occasional friend—came together for some local amusement park fun for the fifth year in a row. If you’ve been following my blog for a while now you’ll recognize a few of these lei-framed faces, and if you’re anything like me you are probably astounded that these faces grow up so fast. Too fast!

With the recent news that we’ll be spreading our love for crafting abroad to Australia and New Zealand, our Close To My Heart team has been working like a hive of busy bees! Pending deadlines and stressful details were put aside for a day and replaced with feasting, go-karts, mini-golf, arcade games, laser tag, and face painting. Oh, and let’s not forget those disastrous bumper boats that cooled us all down in the hot Utah summer sun!

 

We saw the animal within come out of several party-goers, whether caused by the wild game of bingo or otherwise.

 

Memories matter to me, and they do to my employees too—not just in the preserving of them, but in the making of them. They sure made some good ones this year! But it wasn’t just a one-day occurrence: these dedicated and fun employees make every single workday a joy! I love who they are, and I am so grateful they have adopted the vision of the company and stand by it in all they do.

Truly, a single afternoon of food and fun is hardly enough to express the gratitude I feel for all of them. A huge THANK YOU to every single one of our employees and to the families behind you that lend support from home. We couldn’t do this without you!
