Wow! My mouth has been watering all week as I’ve read your many delicious Faster, Simpler, Easier recipe postings! Thank you for participating! I’ve already decided to create a “fabulous friends recipe book” from the many submissions, so that I can begin whipping up your tasty desserts and sumptuous entrees in my own kitchen. I’m sure you’ll be trying these recipes, too.
As promised, I’ve selected 10 lucky posters randomly to receive the “Recipe Box” stamp set from our new Summer catalog. The idea book hasn’t even been released yet, so no one has seen the set… and it’s adorable! I’m going to give you a sneak peek of some of the set by sharing some great art you can create using this set. It’s perfect for creating homemade recipe cards, or creations for the cook in your life! Enjoy it with my compliments. If you are one of the winners listed below, please send your contact information/mailing address to me@jeanettelynton.com and I’ll get your stamp set in the mail right away!

And if you weren’t chosen as a winner, don’t fret, because I’ve got another surprise up my sleeve! As I mentioned, I’m going to start experimenting at home with your recipes. When I create your recipe as thanks I’ll send you an EXCLUSIVE stamp set. From time to time, I create a new mini-set, and the only way to receive it is as a gift from me. Keep watching this blog to see what the set looks like, and when I’ve sampled your recipe… your special stamp set will be headed your way!

Congrats to the winners! I think we all came out winners with being able to try so many great recipes. Maybe next time...we can hold out in hopes of winning one of the mini-sets though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting a picture of the new recipe set, even before the new catalog is out! LOVE IT! I can't wait to purchase it - it will be perfect for a Mother's Day project I am creating for my mom. I am making a scrapbook/recipe book that has all my grandmother's recipes in it, along with photo's on each page of my grandmother cooking, canning, or at parties surrounded by food.
Thanks for all you do Jeanette! Your blog is such fun!
Wow all the recipes sound great I look forward to trying some of them.

Congrats to the winners! This set would have been great to have while I was making recipe boxes for my kids' Christmas gifts. I filled them with favorite family recipes. All my boys are great cooks and they frequently call for recipes they grew up with. Keeping my fingers crossed for a mini set!
ReplyDeleteOn another note...what do you do to keep your customer service people so pleasant and cheerful? All other companies should take lessons from CTMH!! While I dread calling other customer services, I actually look forward to calling CTMH CS.
While I was not a winner this time around, I will take the high road and congratulate those who did win :) Like Pam said, maybe I'll win one of the mini sets (hint, hint, Jeanette, I would love it!)

ReplyDeleteBUNDT CAKE
FILLING
1 cup chopped Pecans
3 Tablespoons of Sugar
¾ Teaspoon of Cinnamon (ground)
CAKE
1 cup butter (you can use margarine)
2 cups Sugar
2 eggs (room temp)
1 ½ cups All Purpose Flour
1 ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
½ teaspoon of Salt
1 cup Sour Cream
1 teaspoon Vanilla
GLAZE
¾ cup Sifted Confectioners Sugar (sifting keeps it from lumping)
1 tablespoon melted butter or margarine
1 Tablespoon Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (you could also use Almond for a great taste)
½ cup to 1 cup Chopped Pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease your bundt pan.
For filling combined ingrediants in a small bowl , set aside
For Cake, Cream butter and sugar in large bowl until fluffy. Add eggs, milk
until smooth. In another bowl sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the cream mixture. Beat until well blended. Beat in Sour cream and vanilla. Mix well. Spoon in HALF of batter in greased pan….Spoon FILLING in the middle evenly over batter in pan. Spoon in the rest of batter…… Bake 1 hour to 1 hour15 minutes.
Test for doneness. Cool 10 minutes in pan then remove from pan and cool completely….Place wire rack on top of pan to flip so you get a smooth transition.
GLAZE. Combine 10x sugar and b utter and cream…..add milk & vanilla. Stir until smooth……drizzle glaze over cake , sprinkle with pecans over glaze.
( This is the type of cake that tastes better if it sits for a few hours….so moist and delish!)
