Color Me Monday: A New Leaf!

Our gorgeous green “Sweet Leaf” is suitably named—it seems to sweeten and soften my artwork every time I use it. So while the Sweet Leaf color isn’t new, this color combination IS and it’s the perfect mix for capturing summer in your projects. All three of the core colors in this combination are bursting with personality: Tulip, Twilight, and Sweet Leaf, balanced with just a touch of White Daisy. I’m delighted with all of the projects created with this color combination, but my “happy birthday” card was a blast! I experimented with our August Stamp of the Month “It’s Your Day” set (I just couldn’t wait until August!). This set is amazing because it includes all kinds of textured blocks that can be mixed and matched, used as gift boxes or as layers of a cake. The set includes sentiments for birthday cards plus invitations, too. You’ll also notice I pulled a B&T paper from that super-versatile Emporium kit into the card as well—Emporium doesn’t have Tulip in it, but it blends so well here, it just shows how flexible these papers can be. I encourage you to enjoy a garden afternoon yourself, blooming with Tulip, Twilight, and Sweet Leaf!
