We may not be “American Idol,” but Close To My Heart is right in the middle of a fabulous creative contest where you get to select the winner by casting your vote. With more than 300 amazing entries from all across the U.S. and Canada, our “Scrapbook and Share” blog was a huge success during May’s National Scrapbooking Month. Thousands visited with site, drawing nearly 3,500 comments on entries ranging from laugh-out-loud hilarious to sweet to inspirational.
Last week, our judges had the huge job of selecting five finalists for each of the five categories, and those 25 total finalist entries are now posted online at the site. We’ll be accepting your votes all week long—so let your opinions be heard! The top vote-getter in each category will receive their choice of $150 US in free Close To My Heart products, so there is plenty at stake for those finalists! When you visit the Scrapbook and Share site, I encourage you to go beyond simply looking at the artwork. Read the blog entries that accompany them! I have enjoyed reading these great stories about what you scrapbook and WHY you scrapbook—you’ll be grinning one moment and wiping away a tear the next.
Bravo to our finalists and congratulations and thanks to you all for scrapbooking and sharing with all of us. Hurry and vote before the week ends—to visit the Scrapbook and Share blog, just click on the pink flower badge on the side of this page, or visit scrapbookandshare.com. Eat your heart out, Ryan Seacrest!
Hi Jeanette! I just finished casting my last vote for the Scrapbook and Share contest. Oh my goodness!! That was so hard to do! I would really hate to be one of the judges who had the job of selecting the finalists. They were all beautiful layouts and such personal touching stories. I love this hobby of scrapbooking and how it brings us all together from all different parts of the world and life. Have a blessed day! :)
