Color Me Monday: Presto, Chango!

I’m over the moon with today’s color combination of Juniper, Crème Brulee, Cocoa and Brown Bag. Here’s why: the combination perfectly illustrates how flexible the CTMH color palette is and how making small changes can have a big impact. To see what I mean, check out the combination I used on last week’s Color Me Monday post. It’s also anchored by Juniper and Crème Brulee. But it has a completely different feel, doesn’t it? Last week’s combo incorporated pinks that made the Juniper and Crème Brulee light and airy and downright joyful.

Today’s color combination still relies on Juniper and Crème Brulee, but I’ve brought it down to earth with rich browns. Presto, chango, it’s color magic! Simply by switching out one or two colors in a combination you can create a dramatically different look. My Madame Butterfly layout, the card and CD holder convey elegance and classic beauty, perfect for pairing with sepia-toned photos or even more masculine artwork. So… try it for yourself and you’ll see just how versatile the palette is. First choose a color combination that’s a “trusty favorite,” then switch out just one or two of the colors in it for neutrals or with complementary “power colors” and you’ll love the results. Become a color magician yourself!
