Ever get the blues? I sure do... as long as they’re the fabulous blues from the Close To My Heart color palette! Today’s Color Me Monday is marvelous in monochromatic, the ever easy-on-the-eyes blues of Moonstruck, Heavenly Blue, and Outdoor Denim, with a splash of clean White Daisy. All of these blues belong to the same hue but with various intensities, so they work well together with absolutely no guesswork.
The star of my artwork today is my grandson Mason, whose blue shirt and bouncy ball perfectly complement the sky blue of his eyes. There are so many reasons to love this little guy, like his curiosity for marching ants and his delight in the simplest of toys. And come on: who can resist that megawatt smile! He’s definitely entertaining and I could watch him and his cute face for hours. Now I have some of those moments captured forever in this layout.
Now it’s your turn to get melodramatic with monochromatic! There are so many reasons to love this ultra-versatile color combination or other single-color sensations. Monochromatic schemes are ideal when you want a subtle layout or when you’re working with very strong colors in your photos and you need a gentle color scheme to let your photos sing. For truly harmonious layouts, try the one-note, one-color melody of monochromatics. You’ll be singing their praises!

Love the blues! How do you come up with all these great color combos? I love 'em all. Your grandson is a little doll too. I'll have to keep this combo in mind when I scrap book the pictures of my kids tubing on the lake over the weekend. Thanks for sharing! This is the ONLY reason I look forward to Mondays.
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting. I had no idea that moonstruck was a darker version of heavenly blue, or that outdoor denim would fit into the picture anywhere. Good to know. I have moonstruck... but all of the other blues I have are twilight, crystal blue and indian corn blue. I could never really get moonstruck to work with any of those... now I know why! lol
