Happiness in the Heartland

This past weekend, I had the honor and privilege of attending a Close To My Heart Regional Celebrations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The capacity crowd included amazing, enthusiastic, energized Consultants from all around the country—with an extra dose from the Midwest. What a glorious weekend it was and an awesome opportunity to “fill my bucket.”

As part of the event, I teach a create and take project (which includes a sneak peek product from our upcoming Spring 2010 idea book!), and I invite Consultants to be my “honorary Advisory Board.” They’re allowed to ask any question their heart desires. You can see me onstage teaching the project and answering questions—and there was no shortage of questions. Look at all those raised hands! Interacting with Consultants is perhaps my favorite part of leading Close To My Heart. You had some great questions, from “When is another how-to book coming out?” (You’ll have to wait and see) to “What do you like to do in your spare time?” (Easy: I love to scrapbook, of course!)

Big thanks to my amazing team—you can see a few of their smiling faces, featured here in their bright yellow cardigans. They did a great job from presentations, to projects to prizes. I laughed at the game show, loved the layouts, and appreciate all you do to make this company world class and wonderful.

And speaking of world class, THANK YOU to each Consultant who attended. You really are the classiest group of people I could ever know. I really love serving you! I felt your spirit and was truly lifted by your energy and love for what we do. The weather may have been cold and rainy, but inside that ballroom, it was all sunshine and smiles. Thank you for making it a weekend to remember (and thanks to our scrapbooks, we’ll never forget it!)
