Not that many years ago (at least it seems so!), I welcomed my first baby—my daughter Ashley. As Ashley has grown into a remarkable and talented woman, I’ve watched our relationship broaden from mother/daughter to true friend. This November, I plan to share something I’m thankful for each Thursday, and for my first installment, my heart is full of gratitude for Ashley.
Not only is she my friend, she’s my confidante, comedienne, hero, help, stylist, and saving grace. She was a beautiful baby and has gone on to be a mom to two beautiful babies of her own—Noah and Belle. She’s long thought that she and husband Jason weren’t destined to have any more children, despite years of hoping and praying.
I’m SO thrilled to announce that Ashley’s expecting child #3, due in May. Baby, oh baby! What a reason to celebrate; what cause to rejoice. We really are seeing this pregnancy as a true miracle—and despite the rollercoaster of morning sickness and the nonstop fatigue, Ashley couldn’t be happier. Neither can I. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for Ashley, and I’m now busy making a special place in my heart for a new grandbaby!

ReplyDeleteCould this wonderful new blessing mean a new baby paper and/or stamp set? hmmmmmmmm just wondering out loud.
Ashley is gorgeous, what a beautiful mother! I just lost a baby that was due in May. I have 2 children but have learned that I have a uterine abnormality that could possibly keep me from having another. Thank you for this well timed blog, it gives me hope! Thanks for everything you do for us, to inspire us.

There is nothing quite like a daughter telling her mom that she's going to be having a baby!
