Sunshine in Portland

OK, so weather wasn’t very sunny this past weekend during our Portland Regional Celebrations. But it was all warmth and sunshine inside our hotel ballroom, thanks to the amazing, energetic, creative Consultants in it! What fun I had with each of you!

For this event, we tried something new—a “photo op” as it were, where Consultants and I could have our picture taken together. I found it helped me personally connect with many more Consultants and I loved it. Let me tell you, I was humbled and inspired by your stories, and it was a treat for me to meet each one of you. THANK YOU for standing in line and thank you for bringing such joy to this company.

We also had plenty of time to create together, and I delivered a “sneak peek”—our fabulous new journal, which will debut in our Spring 2010 Idea Book. Everyone in attendance made an adorable journal cover while I fielded questions from the audience. We got some doozies this time, including “What’s your favorite stamp?” and “Do you discuss business with your husband?” and “Do you ever use your wooden stamps?” (The answers are: Too many to choose from!; Sometimes, but family comes before business; and NO! I only use My Acrylix now. My Acrylix stamps are so light, easy to store, perfect to place, and with all those great features, why would I go back to wood? I love and keep my wood stamps because they are my history and part of my journey, but when I get to stamping these days, it’s all about My Acrylix!)

We had such good fun, food, friends, and stamping this weekend, I didn’t even feel the rain. Thanks

  2. I love these smaller CTMH events. It's a great way to connect with other Consultants, Jeanette, and the fabulous staff from Corp. Thank you for being so accessible to all of us. I hope we will see more Regional Celebrations in the future!

  3. This was my first time attending a regional with Close To My Heart. I became a consultant two years ago to 'support' my habit thinking it wouldn't be for long term, but after being apart of something so great and loving what I get to do, I know I have found my passion. I want to thank you for everything you have brought to us and what you hold for our future in scrapbooking and stamping. I surely can't wait!

  5. Jeanette, this past weekend I am sure has changed my life! This was my first CTMH event as I just signed up in July. I loved getting to meet you and ask you my question (what is your favorite holiday (p.s. I did not mean to make you cry but I feel the same for our beautiful country)). I now feel totally empowered to reach for my dreams. Thank you so much!

  7. Jeanette,
It was such a wonderful weekend at the Portand Regionals. I have to admit though the projects were fabulous, prizes plentiful and your staff the best, the highlight for myself was meeting you in person and sharing about your recipes. You are such a warm and caring person and I am honored to be a CTMH consultant. Thank you again for all that you do for us. Sandee Webb
