Dreaming of Spring

Although it may be months before I see a flower blooming or hear a bird chirp, I’m already completely in love with spring. … Our Spring Idea Book, that is. Every single time a new idea book is released, I exclaim “This is the BEST ONE EVER; I LOVE IT.” (I really do say this, and it really is true.)

As the Spring Idea Book’s products and beautiful artwork have come together, I’ve found myself eager to play with my favorite new products. If you already have your copy of the new idea book, you’ve probably already honed in on a few favorites of your own—and if you’re eagerly anticipating January 1 when the book is live, let me share some of my favorites for you to look forward to!

I absolutely adore our “cover girl,” the Veranda kit. These gorgeous, unique papers are both elegant and playful, incorporating birds, vines, and a green-on-green color scheme that really does coordinate with just about everything. As you can see, I’ve already gotten a jump on my valentines using this fabulous paper pack—by adding a dash of Tulip, it transforms these southern garden papers into the perfect Valentine’s Day kit. (See, it really does match everything!) Look for a hint of the Veranda kit papers to be showing up on my blog masthead soon—I just can’t get enough of it!

Another fave from this idea book is our new journal—white cover, spiral bound, featuring a clear sleeve cover that’s easy to fill with your favorite artwork. Again, I’ve used that rich Veranda paper and added some ribbon to the oversized spiral binding, and it’s a great, affordable gift to give any friend (or keep yourself!).

Consultant Amy McGrew recently asked me whether I ever made doll-themed albums for my girls when they were little. As I was thinking about her question, my mind kept returning to this new journal, which would be GREAT for younger scrapbookers to get started on—the size is just right, and it’s filled with pages kids can adorn with images cut from catalogs, magazines or notes of their own doll adventures and wish lists. Amy, I hope that answers your question and also gives you and your two cute girls some inspiration for a future project.

I hope you ALL find a little mid-winter inspiration for spring in our upcoming idea book and that you have plenty of favorites of your own on its colorful pages!

  2. I am so thankful for the arrival of the new catalog today! I have two sick children and while were we snuggling together on the sofa this afternoon I was able to flip thru the catalog and relax a bit. What great timing! I am most excited about topstitch and the Togetherness stamp set. Thanks for another wonderful catalog!

  3. Oh Jeanette! I have to agree that this is the best one yet. The only bad thing is there is over $300 worth of new MUST HAVE items on my wish list and with Christmas 2 weeks away I can't buy anything for myself. It really is a shame. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get money for Christmas and my birthday (Jan 2nd). I too think Topstitch will be my favorite paper pack out of this book, but I really do like all the papers and the SOTM's this time. THANK YOU Jeanette!

  5. I too think that this catalog is THE BEST ONE EVER! There's so much to love in there, but I already know what I'll be ordering first, You Rock, and everything that goes with it. I usually try to limit myself, but this kit has me throwing caution (and budget) to the wind!

  6. Hi Jeanette, I'm with you - this is the best ever Idea book and Veranda is definitely the best. I have been hunting for the perfect paper to use on my son's wedding book. His colors were green and cocoa. I have found just what I was looking for in Veranda! I can't wait to get started. Thanks to you and everyone at CTMH for such wonderful products. Merry Christmas to everyone at CTMH.

  8. Oh my gosh, it's hard not to just dive right in to the new papers! These are truly wonderful, but at eight below here, it truly is hard to think of flowers and spring. I just want to enjoy where I'm at right now! :-) Blessings for the joy of family and the birth of Christ!
