Oh Christmas Trees. . .

Follow the instructions listed below and you too can have one or all of these fun tress! (follow-up to Color Me Monday 12-21-2009)

3-D Christmas Trees Instructions:

Green Styrofoam cones are the following sizes:
5 1/2" small
11 1/2" medium
15 1/2" tall

Basic instructions for the small tree:

1. Stamp the heart from B1320 My Acrylix® Adoration set about 29-30 times on the reverse (back) side.
2. Stamp it 25-26 times on the pattern (front) side of stamp.
3. Cut the hearts out.
4. Squeeze Liquid Appliqué around the scalloped edge of heart.
5. Sprinkle the Liquid Appliqué with Prisma Glitter. Allow it to dry completely.
6. Using D1333 My Acrylix® Wishing Star, stamp the scroll star 4x. Cut out and glue wrong sides of two together, repeat to form two, 2 sided stars.
7. Cut half way up through the bottom center of one star and halfway down from the top of the other star. Slide them together along the cut lines to form a three dimensional star.
8. Using liquid glass, add sparkles to the center of all four sides of the star.
9. Push a long straight pin up through the dimensional star and adhere it with Liquid Glass to the top of the cone pushing it into the cone as you adhere. Leaving about ½" of pin showing with the star above it.
10. Each tree is assembled by adhering stamped hearts upside down starting at the base using the solid colored heart images on the first row. Use the patterned heart images on the second row. Continue alternating until you reach the top of the tree. End with four hearts forming a pyramid on top. I used large glue dots to adhere the hearts.
11. Embellish trees with large sparkles and twinkle brads.

The other trees are made the same. The medium tree uses D1343 My Acrylix® Love Language and D1237 My Acrylix® Star Struck stamp sets. Adjust the number of hearts stamped to fit the tree. The large tree uses D1343 My Acrylix® Love Language and D1320 My Acrylix® Shining Star. Adjust the number of hearts to fit the tree.
