Embracing January

I hope your holidays were jubilant and peaceful. If you’re like me, though, you’re always ready for January and the chance to throw yourself into real life again, beginning new projects and looking forward. To help you with that goal, today I’m offering a fresh and springy color combination featuring Indian Corn Blue, Lilac Mist, Sweet Leaf and Vanilla Cream.

Even better, the projects are equally fresh and springy and guaranteed to get your 2010 off to a great start. First, check out the address book, made from one of our new My Creations Journals. The book is oriented horizontally instead of vertically, and the cover features our Color-Ready Irresistibles and stamped-paper-pieced flowers. The artwork looks so crisp and perfect, you’d never guess how easy it is. It’s the ideal way to organize the addresses of all those holiday cards you just received!

I’ve also included a fun notebook cover—who doesn’t love starting a new year with a blank page to write your goals on? This is just an affordable basic notebook made special with random stamping, a scalloped paper border and buttons. The color scheme also adapts nicely to cards—I love the dry embossed card with the raised lines inked. It’s just one of the reasons I love working with papers and color coordinated inks; they make every project extraordinary!

Here’s wishing you an extraordinary year full of extraordinary ideas and inspiration. Embrace January and get it started off right!

  4. I am always so inspired by your artwork.

My customers have been asking for a calendar workshop and one lady in particular wanted one that was perpetual. I think your clipboard calendar will fit the bill!!! The light bulb went off as soon as I scrolled down.

    Thanks so much, Jeanette!!
