Simply the best!

Hi, blog readers! This isn’t Jeanette posting. It’s Kristine Widtfeldt here, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Close To My Heart. I’ve hijacked—er, I mean I’m guest posting on—Jeanette’s blog today, because I’ve got great news to share and Jeanette’s far too modest to do it herself. This will be our little secret, OK?

The “Best of State” awards ceremony for Utah was held last Saturday and Jeanette and Close To My Heart won top honors in THREE categories! Lest you think that’s a easy feat, let me tell you that the competition was impressive.

Consider that Utah is home to varied innovations from Xango juice to Apple Beer to fry sauce, all invented here. Household names that you know have homes in Utah, from Nu Skin to Overstock.com to Ebay (all of them winners of different categories, too.) The Salt Palace grand ballroom was literally packed on Saturday night with some of the most impressive people on the planet—best-selling novelists, NBA players, Olympic athletes, business icons, and even our own governor.

It was great company to be in, but our tables featured the best company of all! Close To My Heart won for Best Rubber/Plastic Product for My Acrylix stamps, and Best Wholesale Goods for our entire product line, and Jeanette herself won for Best Entrepreneur in the State. How cool is that and how deserving is she? It was just a blast to be a part of it all.

Jeanette’s family attended, as well as several of us from the corporate office. We were all so proud of Jeanette although we did tease her a bit that by the end of the ceremony, she had so many medals around her neck she looked like Michael Phelps at the ‘08 Olympics! What can you say ... when you’re simply the best, it shows!
