Lovely Level 2 Artwork—All New!

Welcome to February and the release of another Close To My Heart Idea Book! Each new Idea Book brings me a little thrill, and the Spring / Summer 2012 Idea Book, featuring my beautiful daughter Rachel on the cover, is no exception.
One of our favorite products is our My Stickease/Complements line—we offer eight in each Idea Book, one to coordinate with each new paper packet design. We call these our "Level 2" products because they allow you to easily and quickly embellish your scrapbook pages without stamping. Each set of My Stickease or Complements is designed to help you complete two full layouts (four pages) beautifully. However, we only have space to show one of these layouts in the idea book itself, so I'll be featuring the second set here. If you love the ease and simplicity of Level 2 layouts, too, you may wish to bookmark this post so you can refer to it for a little inspiration as you begin designing your own lovely Level 2 layouts! Enjoy!

  1. Thank you so much for this post. I was sad to see our art gallery section being discontinued, but this helps to ease that transition for me. I look forward to seeing another post soon with additional card/3-D project choices like we featured in the art gallery. Every creation you post is top notch in my books, and always provides so much inspiration. :)

P.S. Love the Super Hero layout! That's so stinkin' adorable! :)

  6. I love all the layouts but it would be helpful if we knew which layout design was being used. I think I figured them all out except the Lucy layout. Which design is this?

  7. It seems CTMH is one of those companies that censors it's customers from speaking their mind. You have removed posts that expressed real concern in a polite and honorable way. Shame on CTMH. Shame on Jeanette Lynton!

  8. I think it is very bad when close to my heart wish customers and even consultants to express comments about CTMH and we who keep a company in business. But then decide because it is not a praise on the scrapbook layouts shown decided to delete a honest and worried customers expressive views of concerns. I do think i have to agree on some honest points made i am sure many people will have read the post and was it really necessary to remove it .i do believe i recall the words have the utmost respect mentioned for jaeanette.I do too BUT i dont like it when someone is not allowed to try to be honest here.I also recall no flaming but truth of words Anonymous if you dont feel corp are listening write in but i cannot say it will work. Products do need expanding and cardmakers are i feel jeanette been left out in the cold i am not a scrapbooker so i too would like more for cardmakers PLEASE.

  9. I LOVE the new lines. I am a cardmaker AND scrapbooker, and I love that I can use the papers in each kit to do both - I can't believe each Workshop On The Go includes enough for SEVERAL layouts AND cards. I find so many companies and blogs are focused on cards right now, I LOVE getting my inspiration for scrappin' right here! Thanks! I can't decided which I love better, Stella or Florentine...decisions, decisions...

  10. I would like to recommend that the individual whose post was deleted make better use of spell check! If you want your opinions to be taken seriously, you must express yourself clearly. This means you need to make use of the rules of good grammar, punctuation and spelling. In the future, maybe you had better have a person you trust proofread your attempts at communication.

  11. I was going to post early on but now i will, i remember reading the worried persons concerns.I personally agree on some points raised was it necessary to remove the post just because someone is concerned i think it was a consultant not a customer .We as consultants in economic times work hard we need more stamp choices to survive we also need more choice in the catalogues each time a new one is released. I dont think the previous post is watching their spelling mistakes. look at two joined up words proofread that is two words .So if someone cannot spell please dont call them not everyone can spell all the time.
I dont scrapbook neither my customers like making cards all the time so for me i would like more ideas on this blog for carmakers i see loads of ideas all the time on layouts and scrapbooking .Sorry everyone i am been honest .

  12. I have to disagree with the previous posts regarding that CTMH does NOT have enough for card makers. I am VERY happy with CTMH whether it's card making or scrapbooking - CTMH inspires me with creativity for which I'm greatly appreciative!!!!Keep up the great work!!!!

  13. Dear Anonymous,

You keep posting almost unreadable comments about needing more cardmaking ideas. First, proofread in my post is spelled correctly. It is a compound word. You can check this using the spell check feature or by looking it up in a dictionary. Next, if you want to be taken seriously, perhaps you could begin by always capitalizing the first person pronoun "I". Even my third grade students know this, even ones for whom spelling is a problem.

If you are truly looking for more cardmaking ideas, check the website Big Red Scraps. It features nearly 400 pages of CTMH artwork. In addition, there are many talented people who have CTMH blogs on which they share both cardmaking and scrapbooking ideas. Wizard's Hangout and Lisa's Creative Corner are two of my favorites. And, I must say that the CTMH catalogs are rich sources for cardmaking ideas. Also, several Workshops on the Go have very cute cards as bonus projects.

Remember, the impression you make is based on what people see and hear. On this blog, we can only see and know you through your words; therefore it seems that would be reason enough for you to seek some help with your writing and spelling skills.

  15. Anonymous do you really need to keep posting about how good your spelling is and mine or any one elses will not be good enough.
I was not aware the original post was bad like a previous poster it did read to me like a concern and a request idea.
Now i would like to ask this hope i have not spelled incorrectly otherwise i will be flamed again.
I would like if at all possible more ideas by corporate who design these stamps for cardmaking their simply is not enoughand 5 videos on the website is not either we had art and soul loved it and was always very interesting .I dont want Ideas from blogs but from corporate. I feel if we had more stamp designs suitable for cardmaking then we would have a better chance to succeed. please dont attack we all have our own levels of success. If the designs were not so big then we could purchase more if they were suitable for cardmaking, because a lot are on the large size.
I personally like a classic design whimsical, cutesey, funky is not everyones choice in a catalogue. If more designs like Perfect Day on page 80 of the new idea book were made and it is a very classy stamp set, the idea book would be more balanced on choice for all .At the moment we dont have many classic designs. Most are suited to the scrapbook lover not all but a lot.
The trend at the moment i am personally seen out there and has been some time is old vintage, apothacary, bygone era. But we are not getting on trend designs, and many are becoming the same in appearance and look. when new stamps are released in every idea book launched all i see is large bold flower heads funky images and more alphabets.
Maybe sadly we have to post here because the comments are not been listen to or passed on and even though emails are sent saying your comments are passed on, we have no proof what so ever due to no significant changes or return emails.
I am sorry who feels i should have to agree with everything but life is not like that we should be able to say and speak and comment truthfully as a individual not as a gang
