Spotlight on Art: Letters to Love

Today I have the special treat of featuring artwork submitted by one of our Close To My Heart Consultants: Melissa Laverty from Round Hill, Virginia! Melissa wrote to me about her love of fonts and typography, which is why she chose to create artwork pieces that feature the Dimensional Elements Monograms. These chipboard sheets come with a variety of fonts and sizes for a single letter, which you can mix and match however you choose! They also lend themselves to a variety of projects, as you’ll see from what Melissa has submitted below:

First up is this scrapbook page highlighting an elementary school class picture using the Typeset paper pack. The school’s initials, RHE, are bold and bright thanks to the Dimensional Element letters. Since they come in white, you have lots of options for customizing them – here Melissa has just lightly brushed the edges with Desert Sand ink.

This card capitalizes on a trendy color scheme that Melissa has fallen in love with to make an adorable card. The chipboard letters have been inked black in this example, and I just love the background pattern she made using stamped images from the brand new Card Word Puzzle stamp set (C1494).

Last of all is this banner that Melissa put together to decorate her craft room. She chose a letter size from the monograms sheets that fit her banner perfectly and gave them a wood-finish look using one of our background stamp images.
