Boondocks Bash

We upheld another favorite CTMH-family tradition recently: the annual summer party! It was an absolute blast, fun for young, old, singles, couples, and families alike. I so enjoy watching all of Close To My Heart's amazing employees spending time with their families and laughing and interacting so positively. I already know how well they work together; it's so gratifying to see everyone play together, too!

We convened at Boondocks, a local amusement park, where all attendees were greeted by the Executive Team—me, Monica, Kristine, and Brian—and presented with a colorful lei (whether they wanted one or not!) I was so happy to spend a day with some of my family members, too, including David, Rachel, and Ashley and her four sweet and very active children. They had a ball.

Right away, we started with a fantastic lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, sausages, and yes, even garden burgers: something for everybody!

 The afternoon was packed with leisure, if such an agenda is even possible! The kids had piles of tokens for video games as well as unlimited access to laser tag, bumper boats, go-karts and more. And by kids, I include adults in that category. When it comes to having fun, or squirting each other with water pistols, I think we're all just kids. We even played a little bingo in the afternoon for some fabulous prizes (the kids were most excited about gift cards to Wal-Mart; pretty exciting stuff!).

 We had terrific face painters offering free artwork to everyone—check out some of their amazing work. Even moms and dads got in on the deal, it was so cool!

By late afternoon, after everyone had their fill of sodas and games, the parking lot thinned out and we all returned home. What a wonderful day to stay and play. Close To My Heart employees: I love and appreciate each of you so very much. And to your fine families and friends: thank you for sharing your loved one with us! I hope you had a terrific party…I'm already looking forward to next year!
