When I received Christine David’s submission for the Spotlight on Art, I was definitely “wowed!” I love the blend of B&T papers she used on her projects as well as the creative use of other products. All around this colorful artwork is beautifully executed, and the pieces work well all together as well as independently.
Following the same color scheme, this card uses Dimensional Elements Hearts covered in paper. The sentiment is trimmed out of one of the zip strips from the Stella packet, which can be a great resource for speedy card-making or journaling.
One of my favorite elements of this adorable décor made from My Creations Collage Cubes is the creative use of the foundry pin clips poking out of the tops of the blocks. I’m sure now that baby is here that those clips are holding precious photos of the darling little fellow.
Last of all is this sweet page. Even though it captures a perfectly ordinary subject, the page is anything but ordinary. Christine used the same paper packs as the above pieces, but changed the paper selections to achieve a new color combo. She created the tender, custom background by cutting two sheets of stars from the Art Philosophy cartridge and then using them alternately as masks to spray through with multiple colors of spray. The end result is truly a treasure of a page.
Christine, thank you for your submission. I’m so glad you would share your beautiful talent with me. Please remember to email me to select a stamp set, Workshop on the Go kit, or album of your choice.
