Are you ready for it? It’s coming on quick, and I’m sure those of you with school-age children are making the final preparations and trying to soak up the rest of your summer as best you can. In just a few weeks the school buses will be back, the back-packs will come back out of the closet, and homework will return to the kitchen table. It’s a fun and sometimes hectic time of year, and I’m here with a couple of pieces of artwork from one of our fabulous Art Studio artists to help you get into the spirit of things.
This perpetual calendar idea, made using the new Scholastic papers makes a great teacher gift, and can easily be modified for a variety of other applications. You’ll recognize the My Creations Display Album that this calendar was made from. The memory protectors that come as part of the Display Album are easily sewed into four pockets and then cut apart for separate flipping. You can really have a lot of fun decorating the separate days and months of the school year to slip into the sleeves.

I love the treat cup card and the calendar is such a good idea!
ReplyDeleteLove the Calendar! Someone was on top of their game when they created that! :)

Awesome projects. I love the calendar. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWould also love more details on this calendar project. How do you flip the days, etc when it appears that the front cover is fastened in an upright position to show the personalization? HMMM? I will look for updates or you can respond directly to me at hansontl@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteThe calendar is BRILLIANT!! Thank you for such wonderful ideas!
ReplyDeleteI think the calendar is a fabulous idea for anyone with a desk (teachers as well as office folk!)
ReplyDeleteBut, like some of the other ladies, I'm wondering about how the different sleeves flip and I also wonder how the sewing was done. I would love to get more details, if they are available! Thanks!!!
