In the last Spotlight post, I showed how the Moonlight paper pack can be used to make some fabulous Halloween home décor. This week, I wanted to show some pieces submitted by Consultant Casandra Bennett that take the Moonlight paper pack in another direction. Casandra uses the papers to make some creative Birthday cards outside of the Halloween theme. Her artwork is sure to get you looking at Moonlight in a different way.
Next up is another sweet birthday card. The cupcake comes from the Pun Fun stamp set (C1505), and she colored it using our new Alcohol based markers, which she says she has loved using. Meanwhile, the versatile patterns from the Moonlight papers hold up well outside of their customary Halloween context.
Another fun image from the Pun Fun stamp set drives the point home. This time, she used the green patterned paper to great effect as part of the turtle’s shell! Casandra highly recommends the glue pen for detailed paper piecing work, like the turtle image. The tag is from the Art Philosophy cartridge. What a delightful little tag – proving that a little paper and a little ink goes a long way!
Thank you for sharing your ideas and your artwork with me Casandra!
Love it! I made some everyday and Christmas cards with this paper as well :) http://www.ejoym.blogspot.com/2012/10/close-to-my-heart-world-card-making-day.html
