I love to give people handmade cards and gifts. When I do, it feels as though I am literally giving them a piece of myself. I always hope that they will recognize the thought and the care that I put into the creation, because isn’t that the point in giving? You do it to tell someone that you care about them. As you’ve seen in the last few months, the Cricut Artiste has so many choices for you when it comes to cards and other great gift ideas, and we’ve only just scratched the surface!

The windows on this card and its wrapper give it great depth—there is so much you can do with all those layers. The card slides out of the wrapper and opens up to show the rest of your message. You cut both the card and the wrapper at the same size—2 ¾” in this example. The wrapper performs the function of an envelope, but goes a long way towards adding to the design and interest of your card.

Here is another great gift idea that comes from the same Cricut key—a CD envelope. You could give a disc of music, photos, or home videos in a beautiful, custom-designed envelope that fits its contents perfectly. When you cut this envelope at 5”, it is just the right size. Cut it again a touch smaller to add a colorful liner.
