My Favorite Stamp Set: Sail Away With Me

In keeping with our recent cruise theme, today we’ll be taking a look at some projects made using the Sail Away stamp set (C1530). Our studio artist chose this set because she has a real affinity for all things nautical. The set of course has been introduced to complement our adventurous Tommy Kit, but the set is definitely well-suited for venturing out on its own into uncharted waters!

You’ll find a lot of possibilities with the new My Creations Canisters. Using the steering wheel image and some White Daisy ink, the artist turned that strip of Outdoor Denim cardstock into a visually arresting piece of patterned paper, topped off fittingly with the Outdoor Denim Chevron ribbon and more stamped images. And I love the miniature sailboat border around the lid. This would be a great gift for anyone embarking on an adventure.

One thing our artist wanted to do was show how a nautical theme can be made a bit more feminine—what could be easier than adding some pink to the color combination? It comes off beautifully in this scrapbook page, where the Cotton Candy anchor image on the White Daisy cardstock really stands out.

In this card, the artist continued her exploration of the feminized nautical color scheme, creating her own pattern using the rope image stamped repeatedly on the left side of the card. And she even incorporated some fun flowers from the Claire assortment for an extra feminine touch.
