My Favorite Stamp Set: Sightseer

Today’s featured stamp set, Sightseer (C1534), has a definite travel theme, with sayings and images that make it perfect for using with those pictures from your favorite trips, but that is not why our artist picked it as her favorite from the latest Idea Book. She chose this set because of how well-suited it is for scrapbooking and documenting everyday life. Take a look at what she means in the artwork below.

Let’s start with this canvas frame which shows the artist’s favorite image from the set: the camera.  Accompanying the camera are several fun words and phrases that you’ll find fitting in many, many different contexts, including the “photo favorites” caption above and the “click click” right by the camera. Many of us are here because of how much we adore taking, printing, and adorning pictures of our loved ones, so a stamp set that supports the camera is sure to be a favorite.

This layout shows more of the versatile images from the stamp set. The “his and hers” images posing beneath the colored wooden heart are from this set, but can obviously be used in all sorts of contexts. You probably also spotted the trendy chevron arrow, which features in the canvas artwork as well.

We’ll end with a card that actually shows the stamp set used in a travel theme. The chevron arrow makes one final appearance, and you can also see the suitcase there, put together with some simple paper piecing. I also love the background she stamped using the plane image and the “Jet Set” sentiment on cardstock.

When you’re booking your next flight, I’m sure you’ll think of this set as the perfect way to add a dash of fun to your stamping. Be sure to keep it in mind for your adorable everyday artwork, too!
