ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is taking my two young boys and our dog Sophie to play in the creek near our home. The boys got soaked and had the time of their lives. Of course I had my camera with me to capture the moments!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite spring time memory is of my son being overly excited to see these particular flowers bloom that he helped me plant in the garden. He spent hours caring and checking on these flowers! One day when we were in the garden he looked a bit upset and asked me how long he would have to wait before he could eat the candy on the bloom? He thought that because the plant had the word candy in it's name that it would produce lots of sweet treats for him to eat! No wonder he was so very attentive to this particular group of plants! :)
ReplyDeleteWe yearn for spring in northern British Columbia and every year we build new memories as the kids play in the spring runoff, loving the warm air and the light feeling of wearing no heavy parka!
ReplyDeleteMy fave springtime memories are the times my 3 boys were young and we would be surprised by a warm day in early Spring. I would take advantage of the warmth and let them skip school and we would head to the zoo! I miss those days now that they are 25, 18 and 16!
ReplyDeleteBTW, love the idea of hanging the tray vertically!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is watching my two young daughters playing in BIG puddles made by the snow melting. Listening to their imagination blossoming and their laughter.
ReplyDeleteA favorite memory of recent years is when my grand children from Australia would come around Easter and my others from the states would also join us. We always made dozens of cascarones then on Easter everyone had a great time cracking them on each other's heads. I think they will always remember these times.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is marrying the love of my life on the first day of spring...twenty years ago. As farmers, the first day of spring gives us so much promise as we begin to till the soil and plant our crops...kinda like we did in our relationship in 1993. The new hinged display tray is my favorite new home decor product in the new idea book.
ReplyDeletenow i have to decide which way to hang this...i love the video. thanks for sharing. Diane Tuggle
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is meeting my husband at a church volleyball game in April 1985. I went home and told my mother I had met the man I would marry...and I did 6 months later! We've been married for 28 1/2 wonderful years and I would use the hinged tray to display memories from our years growing together because I love him so much more now than I did then!
ReplyDeleteSpring is my favorite time of year! My mind is so full of Spring time memories that it's hard to choose one. But I think I'll share about the very beginnings of my love for Spring. My mother is a very creative woman (that's where I get it from) and when we were young and appreciated it, she would make Easter dresses for all 4of us. I remember being so excited at Easter time. The Saturday before Easter we would boil the eggs and decorate, decorate, decorate! And I must say we did a pretty good job! The excitement would be much like at Christmas time. We could hardly wait for Easter morning. We would all put on our Easter dresses that my Mom made and know that after Service we would have the BEST Easter Egg hunt for the beautifully decorated eggs we did he night before. It makes me smile now just thinking about it. I love Spring, but I love my Mom more!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memories always revolve around my 8 children. We are able to get out more and take walks, go on bike rides and enjoy lemonade on the porch. I love spring and this year, we moved to a warmer climate, so I'm excited for an early spring!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Springtime memory is getting my kids dressed up for Easter Sunday and having them learn what Easter is all about! I love that they are excited about the real reason for Easter!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Springtime Memory is Our traditional Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt. My kids would play hiding eggs all day! We even lost a few(couldn't remember where we hid them!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win this awesome CTMH product!
Lilacs! My grandmother had huge bushes and I would cut big bouquets for both her house and ours. The scent always takes me back to time spent with her.
ReplyDeleteSpring for me is a wonderful time of rebirth and fresh starts. The trees start to bud after a long, cold winter, the birds start building nests for their new families, and my thoughts turn to Easter and all it means. I have so many thoughts in my head for this display tray and would love to create and share one with everyone.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is of when my younger brother was just starting to walk. He loved to stop and smell each and EVERY flower along the way whenever we took a walk outside.
ReplyDeleteMy springtime memory is from my childhood when we had taken a trip to a neighboring town and came home with my new sping shoes to wear for Easter. I got to put them on while we were in the car on our way home. When we got home, I tore out of the car to show them to one our neighbor ladies who was outside - on the other side of our garden -our muddy garden. Yup - I tore straight towards her, through the garden. By the time I got to the other side, not only was our neighbor there, but also my Dad! That is the last spanking I ever remember getting from him (and I had to clean my muddy shoes too!)
ReplyDeleteI'm picturing myself as a little girl, all decked out for Easter - frilly dress, socks with ruffles, gloves, hat, and a little white purse and shoes. Sweet memories!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is during what Alaskans call "spring break-up." This is the time when all the snow FINALLY melts. It produced a lake in our side yard, complete with ducks and other fowl. My son was 6 when he decided he wanted to go swimming in it. So, boots, coat, and all he jumped right in and played until he was 3 shades of blue and I made him come out. I love those times when kids can be kids.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is when my best friend would come over for a BBQ every Easter. She was always so thankful because she said we were the only friends who ever invited her entire family over. Did I mention she has six kids? Something always got broke at my house HAHAHAHA. Our children are all grown up now, but we still get everyone together for Easter.
ReplyDeleteMy favortie spring time memory is my husband and I going on vaction with our best friends. Every two years we go on a cruise right after tax season. It's a great way to relieve stress (my best friend is an accountant) and use that refund to create some special memories! The nautical inspired kit and stamps will be great to show off those memories!
ReplyDeleteThe display trays look great! A favorite spring time memory is riding my bike to attend Little League baseball games with my brother.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite spring time memory is starting our indoor "greenhouse" veggies with my daughter over the years - we'd plant veggie seeds and some annuals in mini containers from Canadian Tire and watch them start growing in the dining room. She loves planting tomatoes and beans!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite early springtime activity each year is watching for the green shoots from the underground bulbs. Love the reminder that warm weather is coming!
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite Springtime memory is when I was about 4 years old. Every Easter, my Grandma (mom of 10 children, Grandmother of 30) would host a big family dinner and while dinner was cooking, the grandchildren would hunt for Easter eggs and candy in her front yard. Well, this particular Easter, I was super excited for my first egg hunt with the big kids, but I wasn't fast enough. So I sat down on the grass and cried, and Grandma gently picked me up, wiped my tears away and put me in a red wagon to take me around. She declared that a portion of the yard was off limits to the rest of the kids and I was in my glory getting all that love from Grandma. Afterwards, we played Red Rover and other fun games. It is one of my earliest memories and fortified that lifetime bond I shared with my Grandma. Thanks for letting me share one of my favorite memories. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is visiting the Oregon coast with my family while growing up. I loved the beautiful Oregon scenes and spending time with the people I love and those that love me!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is a visit to VA in the spring and seeing daffodils blooming after a long snowing winter in IL.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is when it actually gets nice and beautiful and warm early, and we aren't freezing at the annual first soccer tournament of the year in mid-March.
ReplyDeleteI love the new Hinged Display; I made my husband one as a gift for Valentine's Day. If the link works, here is a picture: https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/photo.php?fbid=204271793048537&set=a.204271609715222.50698.124953597647024&type=1&theater

My favorite spring time memory is going for horse back rides once the weather warmed up. I had an incredible mare, Raquel. We'd take Mandy, my dog, with us and we'd go out for a 2-3 hour ride. The 3 of us were content to be with each other & enjoy the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memories (I have 2) are March 31, 1998 when my first born entered into the world AND April 5, 2000 when my 2nd child (first daughter) was born!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory was when I found out I was having baby #3. I had just decided after a hard loss that I wasn't willing to put myself in that place again... little did I know that I already had a wonderful surprise waiting for me :)
ReplyDeleteI have three boys and our favourite thing about spring and memory from each year is donning rubber boots and carving little rivers in the snow/mud/slush and watching the puddles empty out. I love that in Canada everywhere you go you will see old men doing the same thing in their drive ways and back alleys. In fact I remember my own dad doing it when I was a girl, I guess it's a game you never get tired of.
ReplyDeleteMy 2 ultimate favorite Spring memories are the day my husband and I took our engagement pictures at the beach and our Wedding day!! It was 2 of the most beautiful, memorable days in our lives. Enjoying each others company, enjoy the beach, remembering that it was there where we had our 1st date.
ReplyDeleteAnd then that special day....Walking down the aisle in my gorgeous gown to meet the man I love was priceless. Being able to always celebrate our special day makes spring more fun. This year we will be celebrating 3 yrs of being happily married!!! <3 <3
My favorite spring time memories would have to be going to all the brandings in the spring to help family and friends brand their calves. It's a lot of fun to see everyone, work together, catch up, and enjoy the (FINALLY) warmer weather!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Springtime memory gets better and better every year... Every Easter after church my Parents hide Easter eggs for their Grandchildren. My kids love it! My sweet parents will hide the eggs over and over again as long as the kids still want to search for them. They enjoy hiding hard ones for the older kids and easy ones for the younger kids- each has their own color to find. They do it every year and it has become a much anticipated part of my kids Easter celebration! Such great memories for our whole family!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is going to hiking through the hills and watching the wildflowers bloom. One Mother's Day, just my daughter and I left the boys at home and headed for Mt. Diablo to search for the Diablo orchid. Lovely day.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is having an Easter egg hunt for my grandsons several years ago. The weather was glorious considering I live in VT. The eggs were filled with money and Disney dollars as we were taking them the next month, what a wonderful time they had!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring memory is taking my grandkids to the Annual City Wide Easter Egg Hunt, the green grass bright colored eggs, the look of Joy on my grandchildrens faces, priceless memories
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is walking in a creek bed with all 5 kids plus my sister's kids during church camp over Memorial Day weekend.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is watching my kiddos hunt for Easter eggs - sometimes inside, sometimes out depending on the year!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring memory is getting a pretty new dress and shiny patent leather shoes for Easter. I don't think adult dress up times compare to the special feeling little girls get when they feel pretty and decked out for the occasion. I wasn't what I would call a girly-girl with six brother and no sisters - I could hold my own with the boys, but I loved springtime and Easter finery. The hinged tray is a great display item and the video is inspiring.
ReplyDeleteSpring is my favorite season and I love being able to start working in the garden...tilling, planting etc. So fresh and renewed.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite springtime memory is one that happens long before the snow is gone. The temperature is just hovering above freezing and the birds are beginning to sing again. The sunshine is much stronger and the spring warmth is just about there. Out comes the drill, the pails and the spiles. Some of you know what I am alluding to. It is time to collect the maple sap and to turn it into maple syrup. Did you know it takes about 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup? It is truly the liquid gold of spring. We made this a family affair and many memories were made in the sugar bush and in the sugar shack, but none are quite so sweet as the satisfaction of knowing that we all worked hard to make this wonderful syrup. Pancakes and syrup were the wonderful reward of this time in the spring. But the best memory is that of excited kids tasting the half boiled syrup and then the finished product and declaring it the best syrup they have ever tasted!! Such 'sweet' memories...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring memory is my husband and I having a picnic in a park. The kids were in college and we enjoyed an afternoon in the sun, relaxing, eating, sipping lemonade and talking together. It was perfect.
ReplyDeletewould love to try something with this ... make a great gift or home decor!
ReplyDeletePlaying outside with my 4 kids in spring was one of my favorite times of year. They always loved the puddles. Throw in a dog and the picture is complete. Thanks
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring memory is when I took my son to his first Easter Egg Hunt! He was 3, and it was so fun to watch him. He is about to turn 18 now, so it's been a long time but I'll never forget the joy in his eyes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!!
I would love to make something like this and I can't find anything for sale like these in stores here. Thank goodness I have a CTMH consultant! Thanks for the chance to win!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Springtime Memory is when my son was 3 and we were living in Savannah, GA. for a year. If you have never been there in the Spring than you must put it on your places to visit. It is the most beautiful place ever to be in the Springtime with all of the magnolia trees & jasmine in bloom. The smell and sight is heavenly!
ReplyDeleteSpringtime for me means baseball, and lots of it! My absolute favorite thing to do on a sunny, warm (but not too hot) afternoon is to sit out at my husbands baseball field and watch a great ball game. Now with my son in his first baseball season, I'll get double the fun!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is spending Easter with my Grandmother. It was her favorite holiday. We would die about 10 dozen eggs and she always made the time spent together about us kids and making memories. She always told me that spring is a constant reminder from God that life can be harsh like the winter months and storms are a part of life. In order to bloom like the beautiful Rose, you must first weather the sorms in your life, have faith and nurture those that nurture you and in the end the rain will have helped you blossom into the beautiful person that I know you are, you will be stronger for it and that you are never alone in your journey! I do miss her alot, but she is always in my and my childrens hearts!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring time memory is of my boys loving to play in puddles. After the seemingly endless Winter months here in upstate NY it was great fun for them to go out in the driveway with their rubber boots on and splash around in the neverending puddles from the melting snow piles. Sometimes they would just sit right in the middle of the puddle and make water circles by swinging their arms with wet mittens and watching the water droplets form circles of drops all around them. I will always cherish the sound of the giggles and the sheer happiness that it gave them.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring is the one that's on the way with the hope of new beginnings.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring memory was from when I was living in East Tennessee. Every year around Easter the Dogwood trees and Azalea bushes would be in full bloom. There was a route around Knoxville called the "Dogwood Trail" that you would drive to see all the lovely blooms. It was SO gorgeous! God sure does put on a wonderful show. :D Thanks for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring memory happens again and again-- We all go t my moms for Easter, go to Sunrise church, have breakfast together, and then we do family pictures-- It is so cool to look back over the years and see how the family has grown and changed--The tradition started when my nephew was born and he is now turning 16. It is harder now to get the older kids to set for the pictures.
ReplyDeleteMy unhinged project would be all about my Grandkids at play. I love to watch them play. Having the display tray would be a great way to keep that memory.
ReplyDeleteooohhhh I love this!!! I definitely want one!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is taking my son to fly kites. There is nothing like being outside in the fresh sunshine with a slight breeze and the laughter and joy of getting a kite off the ground and into the air!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is being on the farm with my family and watching the sheep interacting with their new lambs. It is always a fun day and a great place to get some great photographs!
ReplyDeleteI love the newness and freshness of spring. This may sound silly, but I look forward to "cleaning out" the winter drab both inside and ouside the house. I love once the weather is warm to be finally able to get out in the yard with my husband and kids and see all the new sprouts and green starting to appear in the yard.
ReplyDeleteOur latest springtime memory was when we took five of our grandchildren up to northern Minnesota to visit and meet their cousins. Their cousins live on a farm. The kids rode horses, feed the animals, milked the goats, gathered produce from a gigantic garden, ate foods they had no idea they would like, played hard and slept soooo good! One day we went to where the mighty Mississippi River began. The kids sat and swam in the River. Where we live in Illinois, it is not safe to even get into the River. The kids were so busy playing and learning new things, they didn't have time to get into trouble. They all can't wait to go again this year!!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite springtime memories is flying kites with my grandchildren in Nebraska. My granddaughter's kite was so high you couldn't see it and my mother was concerned that the airplanes from Offitt Air Base might hit it.
ReplyDeleteSpring makes me think of Easter and rebirth. When I was a little girl my grandmother and my aunt would always take me and my cousin (the only girls in the family)shopping for an Easter dress and new shoes. It was usually an all day affair. I loved spending time with those three people and the fun memories make me smile to this day. I still have my cousin & Aunt, but miss my grandma dearly.
ReplyDeleteP.S.: Love turning the frame vertical! I would not have thought of that.
Since becoming a grandma, my favorite springtime activity is planting flowers in our patio planters with the help of my grandchildren. We talk about how unique each flower is, the vivid colors, why hummingbirds are attracted to them, and so on. I love seeing the wonders of Springtime through the eyes of these precious children. Sounds like the perfect subject for a hinged frame project, don't you think?!
ReplyDeleteThe bith of my first child - there is nothing that can surpass hold my baby for the first time - all the newness - Birds, butterflys and badies!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl I used to love playing in the little streams on the side of the road created by melting snow taking a stick to dig into the dirt to redirect or puddle it. I also couldn't wait for the first pussy willow to pop out because I knew it was officially spring!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is taking my (then) young son to the Lake Michigan shore for the first time of the year. He'd strip off his shoes and socks and run to the water's edge, kneel down and dig. And dig. And dig! Voila! The first sandcastle of the year! Then, because most of his pants were wet, he'd roll up his pant legs and wade in the cold water. Sheer delight and joy would shine in his eyes!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring memory is our yearly trip up to the tulip fields in WA. Its often wet and windy and one year the tulips were really late and we only saw daffodils but its always a fun trip with the kids! Seeing field after field of flowers in all the beautiful colors is just takes your breath away!
ReplyDeleteThe favorite spring time memory I have right at this moment was when I got my cats. Ying and Yang 13 years ago. They are sisters and 1/2 Siamese and beautiful. Great company. They turn 13 in April 1st.
ReplyDeleteI was born March 1st same as my faternal grandmotber. My favorite memories of spri.g are celebtating our birthdays together or making PortugeseEaster Bread to celebrate our Savoir overcoming death. All my best memories include my family and my faith.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring time memory was watching my son at an Easter Egg hunt. He was about 5 and without coaxing from us, put some of the eggs he found back for a little one who showed up late. He did not want the little boy to go home without finding any eggs. It truly warmed my heart!
ReplyDeleteNext to my son being born, my favourite Spring time memory has to be the year my rough and tumble Dad decided to get in on the Easter chocolate hiding shenanigans with my Mom. My 4 brothers and I shared so much laughter plotting to find our chocolate and getting our Mom to help....it was like no other Spring. We even managed to get some bunny ears on my Dad for a minute......it was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSome of my favorite Springtime memories are of Easter. For the past several years, we have celebrated Easter with some dear friends of the family. They host a huge egg hunt for the children after Easter dinner. We usually hide over 300 eggs. I take a picture of the kids at the same place before the hunt each year. I love going back through my scrapbook and seeing how the kids have changed and grown from year to year.
ReplyDeleteWhat neat ideas. My fav spring time memories are the first purple flowers that come up and dessing up for Easter sunday
ReplyDeleteLove the hinged trays. Even if I don't win one I think I am going to make one. I have all kinds of ideas swimming around in my head for them.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memories are watching everything come to life after a long cold winter. Sitting by my pond and watching the grandkids play in the yard. So looking forward to sping.
My favourite springtime memory is watching the crocuses come up and knowing that it's a sign that the snow will soon be gone.
ReplyDeleteSpring reminds me of one morning, it was a rush like always to get out the door to get the girls off to school. My daughter Jennifer had received a butterfly hatching kit for her birthday and we had been watching it for signs of movement. On this morning as we were about to leave when my daughter stopped to look at the cocoon and there was more movement than normal. We sat on the couch, missing work, school everything as we watched the ugly cocoon emerge into the beautiful butterfly! This memory is so precious to me because my daughter loved butterflies, it was exciting to see this happen and if we had rushed off we would have missed the whole thing. My daughter passed away a few years after this experience, our special symbol for her is butterflies, in part because of this wonderful experience and memory!
ReplyDeleteOn Easter Sunday,my sister and I getting all dressed up for church and putting little foil covered chocolate eggs in our little white straw purses and trying to sneak them during mass!
ReplyDeleteSpring reminds me about everything starting anew. I love getting ready for Easter and spending time with my family. I would love to be able to to display my photo's in your lovely tray.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory happens every year-when daffodils start to bloom!! thanks kmassman gmail
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory, that's hard, but I had the best time at Easter last year during our Easter Egg hunt. My youngest participated for the first time....her first ready access to large amounts of candy. At one point I looked over and she was literally drooling chocolate. Turns out she had popped two chocolate eggs in her mounth....without removing the silver foil first. WHAT a mess!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is the vibrant colors that emerge when the snow melts and the sun shines bright!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring memory are the tulips my mother planted outside my childhood home. She lovingly tended those flowers & now tulips are my very favorite flower!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is the pussy willows that we would collect every year from my grandmother's yard. We would get to bring some home with us to set in the house. I loved to feel them!
ReplyDeleteMy memory is from when I was five years old. I went to an Easter egg hunt with my father. When the hunt started all the kids ran around picking up the eggs. I was one of the smallest ones there. Everytime I got close to an egg, one of the bigger kids came by and picked it up first. I started to cry. My father went to the man running the hunt and came back to get me. He brought me to a spot and asked me what I saw. I pointed to what seemed to be the largest egg ever made sitting there just for me. I went over and picked it up and I was so thrilled. My father was always my hero!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite springtime memory is the few weeks in the spring of 1999 when I visited my grandparents in Portugal. My grandmother's garden was full of Easter lillies--hundreds of them. And she would cut huge bunches to put in my room. The whole house smelled so fragrant. I have wonderful memories of that trip and the scent of Easter lillies takes me back there.

ReplyDeleteoh how I love the new hinged display tray!As a new Mommy, I would love to display pictures of my now-complete Family. Thanks for the chance of winning on of the displays
I was thinking of two memories. The first was the year my sister introduced us to cascarones and my sisters, parents and nephew all got a bag of them and went to town smashing them on each others heads in our front yard, hooting and hollering for the whole neighborhood to see. It was so fun! And the confetti was there forever to remind us. My neice and nephew have since moved so when I saw the cascarones in a store I had to buy some and mail them to them. My second memory was when I was stationed in Germany and all the bunnies would come out and they were everywhere! So cute.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is from when I was visiting my friends in Wisconsin for Easter Sunday and funny enough, the night before Easter it snowed. My friends 4 year old still went on with his easter egg hunt on his little motorbike.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring time memory is our yearly gathering with family for Easter. The kids enjoy a Easter egg hunt with cousins and a yummy ham dinner. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is the excitement I feel every year when the weather begins to break and the days begin to get longer and spring is near. I have many wonderful Easter memories with my family. I love warm (and even hot) weather, so springtime is a most-welcomed time of the year!!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite springtime memories is when we were living in New Zealand. We would go to One Tree Hill park and play on the awesome playground there, see the pretty flowers and the new born lambs running around. It was beautiful, peaceful and a happy place to be. My girls loved going also and I miss it very much.
ReplyDeleteSpring time memories for me always include the rebirth of pussy willows in the backyard, lilac bushes so fragrant that we could smell the sweetness inside the house, the daffodils and tulips and crocus and the hyacinth. I still to this day love spring the most for the same reasons.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring memory is Easter in NJ when my grandparents were alive and all the cousins would go to their house for an Easter Egg Hunt - one year an egg was not found (there was a combo of real and plastic ones - the lost egg was plastic - LOL). My grandfather found that egg about 8 years later! so funny!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to win a display tray and figure out what to display in it! :-)

I love Spring, it is the best time of the year. Everything feels new again. There is no one memory, they all stand out, after the long cold Canadian winters the warmer weather and getting back outside without being bundled up from head to toe. I also love Easter, the egg hunts, sometimes in the snow, all kinds of stuff.
ReplyDeleteAside from our family Easter egg hunt each year I love getting outside to clean up our front flower beds and plant new flowers full of color!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring time memory was the year we lived in Rhode Island. We went up to Boston for Mother's Day with our 4 children. As we were walking around the Boston Common the smiles on our kids faces grew bigger and brighter because all around us in full bloom were every color of Tulip! The sun was shining, the temperatures were perfect and the colors were amazing! Then, to our surprise, a parade started going by and all the kids in the parade were dressed as little ducklings! Our kids (ages 2,4,6,8) joined in the "Make way for ducklings" parade (based on the book). They still remember that day vividly! What fun!
ReplyDeleteBeing a May baby I always loved spring, especially when my birthday was on or close to mothers day. When I was 9 or 10 I remember going for a special mothers day/birthday walk with my mom and picking her some early spring flowers while we were out. The photo is around somewhere and every time I see I remember the whole day..so does my mom :-) I just had my own May baby in 2012 so I'm hoping we can make similar spring memories together.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring time memory is when my son was young, he was an avid dirt biker and all his races would start about then. He was the cutest kid around just covered in dirt and so proud of his races. He's 30 now and just typing this brings a tear to my eye. Oh the memories. I'd love to decorate it with his photos of dirt bike racing with the *later sk8ter* paper pack.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love most about Spring time is the rebirth of new life. Just seeing the grass turning greener, the first sign of the leaf buds opening on the trees, the stalks of my great-grandmother & grandmother's Iris's coming from the earth in my flower beds, the soft tweet of a Robin. I love to see the excitment of the neighbor kids out on their bikes, skateboards or just walking down the street with their friends sharing secrets! Spring always feels like a fresh start!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great new product. This one of the reasons I am so excited about being a new consultant, love the products. I can think of so many ways to use beautiful paper, embellishments, and memorabilia. Yay!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is helping my grandfather in his yard. He had a big yard with an amazing garden. It is my fondest memory, helping him in the yard and watching mother nature's rebirth.
Spring means Easter for me, and I love to watch my little children get so excited about heading out side to look for their Easter treats that the Easter bunny left them. This year will be very special as my youngest is 3 and now gets very excited and right into our traditons. I can't wait to take some great pictures.
ReplyDeleteSpring = flowers for me!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring memory is while we were stationed in Korea I dressed my daughter, Hayley (2 y/o) up in a Korean hombauke dress and took her picture next to several of the beautiful flowering bushes. The colors were vivid yellows, hot pink, and my favorite the cherry blossoms!
She is such a ham in front of the camera!
Now that we live in Texas I take her picture in the blue bonnet fields. She will be 15 in a couple of days! Time sure does fly. So glad I have my scrap books to look back at all of my great memories.
My Favorite Spring time memory is when all 4 boys were still playing little league, and every night was spent at the ballfield. Someone always had either practice or a game, and it kept this single mom insanely busy (esp when they were on 4 different teams) but we all loved every minute of it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory from last year was when my 3 year old son, who just had his birthday, received a T-Rex dinosaur kite in the mail for his birthday. My son loves to dress up, and on this day, he was in a full head-to-toe Scooby Doo costume. He insisted that he had to fly the kite dressed just as he was, so out he went with my 6 year old daughter to fly that kite. The image of his Scooby Doo tail dragging on the ground while the kite went higher and higher was something I don't think I'll ever forget!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring memory is my son! His birthday is March 23 which was actually Easter day the year he was born. Although his birthday won't fall on Easter again in his lifetime, I always make a special birthday breakfast of his favorites, scrambled eggs, bacon, and mini pancakes to celebrate my special "little egg" who had a very memorable day for his birth. As he is turning 5 this year, I'm sure I won't get away with him being my little egg for long, but I do have faith that he'll never turn down his special birthday breakfast no matter how old he gets. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is the "lamb" cake my Grandma used to make every year for us. She had an old cast iron mold and would bake angel food cake with fluffy white frosting with coconut for the lambs soft fluffy wool and then color more coconut for the grass and make beautiful flowers in the grass with jelly beans....
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is my oldest daughter taking my youngest daughter down the slide for the first time! I have the picture posted at work and as my screensaver on my laptop, but somehow have never scrapbooked it :( It's been almost 3 years since that moment, but it stands out so vividly for me! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is at Easter. Every Easter actually! Our morning starts at church with our sunrise service. Then our whole extended family comes to our house for dinner and Easter egg hunts for the kids. It's a wonderful day to rejoice in our Lord and the many blessings we have in our family. Praying you and your family are blessed this Easter season.
ReplyDeleteI want to make a keepsake for a baby shower, thanks for the chance to win:)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory that is on my mind and heart are of spending Easter down at my Grandma's house in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Going to church with Grandma & then having the huge lunch at her house & then hunting eggs with all of my cousins!! It just makes me smile thinking of it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring memory is the tulips and daffodils coming up and showing the happy faces. I use to have some pretty little tulips that were pink with white tips. I think they were called princess tulips.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory was packing my 2 boys, 3 and 5, into the van and head out to the Great Adventure Park in New Jersey. You could drive thru the wildlife area, and see the animals everywhere - even the monkeys jumping on the van, at first startling the boys, then turning into delight. We went as often as we could, usually followed by a trip inside to the theme park and getting to go on the rides and just being kids - even me.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite springtime memory is when my precious granddaughter Claire was born last May. She is the joy of my life.
ReplyDeleteI feel so honoured that this spring CTMH has named a paper pack "Claire" and I like to think it is after her. Whether it is or not, I feel honoured. My Claire is special in my heart and true to a child's form, certainly keeps everyone entertained and joyfully in love with her.
Thank you CTMH...love, love, love.
these are perfect for displaying family and events photos. i hope, 'if i don't win', these will be available for purchase. thank you for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is when my babies were able to play in the grass for the first time. My oldest was 3 months, My other son and daughter was 7 months. They had so much fun crawling in the sun and still enjoy the outdoors. can't wait til the weather is warmer to take my newest baby outside to play, and help with the garden.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little my grandfather had this huge pussy-willow bush that bloomed each spring. Now when I see them it is a sure sign of spring, but it also reminds me of my departed grandpa!
ReplyDeleteOne of myy favorite springtime memories is when my daughter and son-in-law snuck over to my house and completely redid my backyard. They mowed down the weeds so it "looked" like a lush lawn and brought in beautiful potted flowers. It was a total surprise and looked so beautiful. Something I will never forget.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory was when I wed my high school sweetheart almost 27 years ago.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is watching the bluebell field bloom near my home. We would always take walks at the park and when I would see them bloom it was a beautiful reminder that summer was coming! Miles and miles of blue!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite springtime memories is something that happened every year for a really long time! It was going shopping with my Mom and my two sisters to get a fancy, frilly Easter dress, new white gloves, white tights or lace cuffed anklets and of course an Easter bonnet! What a thrill it was!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is visiting the cherry blossoms on the National Mall with my family. Every time the wind blew, my two young boys would chase the shower of blossoms and squeal when they got covered in the beautiful blooms!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring memory is going to be my oldest getting Married on March 31st/Easter Sunday this year. I know that it has not happened as of yet, but she is a very special lady and this wedding is not only her becoming a wife, but of my little girl finding that dreams do come true.
ReplyDeleteI do have other memories, but as the day is now less than 20 days away, my heart is filled with such joy for her.
My favorite Springtime memory is when my husband and I were dating and then got engaged the end of April. We were outside all the time, biking and going on picnics, just being together as much as possible after work. When I look back it seems like it was all sunshine and green grass and beautiful flowers, but then I was so head over heels everything was more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is of a day in April 19 year ago. In the 7 years my husband and I had been married we'd had a miscarriage, a stillborn child, and we were raising a profoundly disabled son who was 4 years old at the time. On this particular date--the same day I had what was supposed to my pre-surgery physical to get a tubal ligation--I discovered I was already expecting my daughter. Once the shock wore off, I quickly realized that God doesn't make mistakes so He must have a plan and I put my faith in Him. And now this spring my precious, beautiful daughter will graduate high school and choose a college and take her first big steps on the path He has in store for her. I already bought the larger display tray but after seeing the hinged one hung vertically, I'm picturing one on each side of my daughter's senior portrait. I can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteLove the tray! So many possibilities...
ReplyDeleteLove the tray! You have such good ideas. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Springtime memory ever since we have been living in Arizona is to travel to see the most beautiful flower display ever! In Arizona if we have had a good amount of rain/ snow in the winter then nature alone gives us a bed of Poppies all across Picacho Peak Mountains as far as your eye can see. It is a solid bed of poppies floating back and forth in the soft breeze. It takes your breath away. I am looking forward this year to see this beautiful display from Nature.
ReplyDeleteI love springtime! Some of my favorite memories are of Easter. I always got a new dress, shoes, and a hat to wear to church on Easter Sunday. When I woke up on Easter, there were always eggs to find inside the house! At my Grandma's house we would have dinner and then have more eggs to find! After finding all the eggs, we would then keep rehiding them and find them again.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty decoration...springtime is a fantastic time for our family. We do Easter pics outside to enjoy the new flowers! Thanks for the tips!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Springtime memory that comes to mind is when my youngest daughter ran through the patch of bluebonnets next to our house barefoot and in just her diaper at 2 years old! I got some great pictures and have even scrapbooked it already. Happy Spring Jeanette!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory was making a snowman out of "corn" snow, which wasn't easy as it doesn't stick well. Then checking on the way to and from school to see if he was still there. Once he was gone for good we knew it was spring.
ReplyDeleteWish I had a camera back then.
My favorite spring time memory is the time my husband and I visited the gardens of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC during their annual Festival of Flowers. The scent of fresh blooms wafted through the air and the brilliant colors were amazing! I took lots of pictures (especially amongst the tulips)!
ReplyDeleteSpringtime! So many sweet memories. The lovely bulbs popping out. I may have to choose Easter Day though. The glory of celebrating Jesus' resurrection followed by the annual Easter Egg Hunt. So fun to see my tiny ones, my big ones and now my grandchildren hunting and having fun!
ReplyDeleteDon't laugh, but my favourite spring-time memory is floating sardine cans down the water running in the ditches as the snow melted.
ReplyDeleteWe ARE talking 45+ years ago...do kids even do that anymore?
My favorite spring time memory, was sitting under the Aspen trees with my son, Kenneth, in my lap. He was just learning how to say "Da da." He came up with a whole little tune...da, da, daaaaa, da, da.....da, da, DAAAAAA. I remember the wind gently blowing his fine blonde hair, the look of wonder in his eyes as he watched the leaves sway and the warmth of the sunlight.
ReplyDeleteMy best spring time memory has to be last year! After going through some extremely rough years, my husband and I were able to start fresh and start to enjoy each other and our lives! I've always associated spring time as a time for rebirth and that is exactly what last spring was for us!
ReplyDeleteThat and I love spring because all the trees get their green leaves back and the flowers all are in bloom!
Jeanette, I think what you do for all of us is absolutely fantastic! Thank you for creating such a fantastic company full of fabulous products!
I loved finding the plastic eggs hidden in the house for Easter and having a special dinner because my birthday was often only a couple days before or after.
ReplyDeleteI really want to make one of these for each of the grandmas for mother's day with pics of my girls. I love the vertical view so that you can hang it on the wall.
ReplyDeleteI love spring skiing. You actually can move because your not so bundled up. The sky is bluer and the sun is brighter.
ReplyDeleteI have the larger display tray and have been waiting for some ideas...this video has given me more ideas! Every Spring I go on vacation with my Aunt. We have such a wonderful "girls week gone"! We go to the same place every year and love it more and more! I am going to fill in the large display tray with chronological photo's from our first time there to the one coming up in April, perfect! Thank you for always having such inspirational ideas and projects, that is why I am a CTMH consultant!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Springtime Memory is taking my girls to the park with my Hubby. We love to explore all the new flowers comes up from the ground and hear the birds. Going to our park's nature's center is such a treat. The squirrels and other animals are so funny as the weather starts to change and if we are lucky enough we get to see the hummingbirds feed. Springtime is so wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is getting up in the morning and being the only one up. The weather is nice and crisp and it's so quiet that all I hear are birds chirping outside. I know Spring is here!
ReplyDeleteLucy
I love Spring! It's the perfect time to get outdoors and enjoy the change from the cold Winter to the sunny Spring weather. I love the longer days of sunlight and enjoy the chirping of birds. That always puts a smile on my face!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is of going down to NJ for Easter. But it's not coloring eggs or Easter dinner or being with extended family that made these trips memorable - it was the fact that my kids were more excited about staying at a hotel than they were about seeing their cousins! The hotel had a pool, so that's the only place the kids wanted to be. This particular hotel also provided a really nice complimentary breakfast each morning. We really enjoyed those times!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring memory was last Spring - buying my first home as a single Mom, being able to fill it with my own personal touches (crafts included), and watching to see what surprises came up in my flower beds. Spring is such a great time of new beginnings! Still enjoying putting those crafty touches around as my home is a constant work in progress...
ReplyDeleteWhen my children were small and we had a new home, I had big beautiful bright yellow daffodils lined up across the front of our home. One bright spring morning, my almost 2 year old son comes running in the house "mommy mommy come see the pretty flowers!" So I follow him out the front door and there they were - every daffodil had been plucked and placed perfectly on the grass directly in front of each plant. He was so proud of himself and smiling ear to ear! We picked up each flower and made a big bowl of sunshine for the dining room table. I love sending him daffodils and he still smiles ear to ear when he sees them.
ReplyDeleteFavorite Springtime memory: visiting my father's parents with all the aunts, uncles and cousins (my father is one of eleven). The cousins my age went down to the pond with an uncle to play. Boy was he in trouble when he returned with seven muddy little girls that were wearing their new, white Easter sandlels. He had seven women fussing at him while he cleaned the seven pairs of shoes. The girls did not see what the problem was as we all had a great time at the pond!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Springtime memory goes back to my childhood. I remember being at my Grandma's out in the yard. She would talk about the "coming alive" of all the plants and how the sleepy animals were all waking up again. She taught me how important the Spring rains were as they washed away the winter and cleansed the earth for its re-birth every year. She taught me how to smell the Spring rains and appreciate the freshness in the air. To this day, when I smell the rain I remember my Grandma!!
ReplyDeleteMy family has many birthdays in the spring. These, along with Mother's Day, makes spring time family time, for me. My favorite memory was having my whole family over to my house for a combined May birthdays/Mother's Day celebration. We sat on the back patio, laughed, ate, and opened presents. Thinking of that day always makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteAndrea Lampert
My favorite memory of spring is when my almost 3 year old son came running in the house one beautiful bright spring morning and says - "mommy mommy come see all the pretty flowers!" So naturally I follow him out the front door and there they were every bright sunny yellow daffodil was plucked and placed perfectly in front of each plant on the grass. He was so proud of himself. So we gathered all the blossoms and they made the most beautiful bowl of sunshine on the dining room table. Lovely spring time memory.
ReplyDeleteWe live in tulip country and I remember when my son was just a baby and taking him to the tulip fields for some wonderful pics. I love seeing all of the flowers blooming in spring!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory was going shopping before Easter and getting a new dress, shoes, and bonnet to wear to my Grandmother's for our annual family get together and Easter egg hunt!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory of spring is walking through my grandmother's beautiful flower garden with my grandpa. He would always pick some snapdragons and tease me with them, saying they were going to eat me while he would squeeze them open and shut! When I got married I made sure I had snapdragons in my bouquet to honor my grandpa's memory.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is spending time with my Grandchildren and familly with the little ones hunting for their Easter Eggs even when we still had to dig through the snow to find them. A good time had by everyone with lots of scrapbook memories.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is when my daughter was 3 years old. It was the first warm day of the year and she was old enough to go play at the park and be able to walk around and do many of the things. She just laughed and laughed while she went down the slide and I caught her or pushed her on the swings.
ReplyDeleteIf I win hanging it vertically is definitely the way I want to go....so versatile.
ReplyDeleteMaria Elliott
My favorite time in spring is when i start planning my garden and go to the plant store to see what's blooming. I also love it when the cherry blossoms appear.
ReplyDeleteSpring is always the Easter season for my family. Preparing for the season spiritually to blessing of the Easter food and dyeing the eggs and the annual egg hunt with family at my sister's home.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Springtime memory was the year my daughter was born. I had planted tulip bulbs on the side of our new home in the fall, not knowing what I was doing I didn't know if they would come up in the spring. In early April, just after Easter we went to the hospital and my little girl was born. Due to complications we were in the hospital over a week. When I finally came home, the Tulips were coming up! My little girl turns 28 this Spring, and the tulips continue to bloom!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I took our 3 children to one of the metrogardens in Columbus one spring. The tulips and daffodils had come up and were covering the hills on both sides of the driveway into the gardens. The kids were little and I had them get out of the car. They walked up the hill in 3 different directions, gingerly walking around the flowers. I had them all kneel where they were and got some beautiful shots of them on the hillside in the spring sunshine surrounded by flowers.
ReplyDeleteLove Love Love the tray video :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite spring memory is from when my family would travel north a few hours for my father to go fishing, it wasn't always the nicest weather and we did complain about being cold but looking back it was always something we did as a family and when i am in that area these days i always look at the area where the old cottage we rented was located or look to see how the area has changed after so many years ago.
my favorite springtime memory is celebrating the Passover Seder each year with my family...retelling the story of Moses being freed from Egypt.
ReplyDeleteA longtime favorite spring memory is crunching crackle ice with my brother. Then the fun of teaching our kids to joyously stomp the ice & see their happiness with such a simple silly thing. Thanks for a chance to win something nice.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in So. CA, so spring never meant much. Then I spent 10 years in Upstate NY before moving south again. My favorite memories are of the feelings you get the first time you see buds on the trees and tulips comming up. Best of all was to hear the honking of geese. I would race outside to watch them fly overhead until I could no longer see them and noticed everyone else had stopped to watch them also. Then we would look at each other and smile...because this meant spring REALLY was here.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Springtime memory is taking a cruise to Hawaii with my husband, sister and brother-in-law. We saw 7 different islands and had the time of our lives. Wonderful memories of the gorgeous scenery that stays with me to this day. Thanks for the chance to win this wonderful 5 x 7 tray. It is awesome!! Hugs, Gloria
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this display tray!
ReplyDeleteI love this display tray! My favorite thing about spring is umbrellas and rain boots!
ReplyDeleteI am not overly materialistic but, I always got a brand new dress to wear to church for Easter Sunday. It was always special because I always had to wear my older cousin's hand-me-downs. I can still smell the crisp, new cotton smell of a new dress along with the cold spring air. Then, we would go with my Grandparents to eat out for lunch or eat at their house or ours. Sometimes, we would visit my other Grandparents and have an Easter egg hunt with my tons of cousins from that side of the family! Love these shadow box trays! Can't wait to try one out.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Spring memory is when my 2 boys were young. As boys they were always rough and tumble and dirty, but I so loved Easter Sunday when they were clean, and dressed in their new Sunday best...they always looked so handsome no matter what age they were. Love using the hinged box verticle...who'd have thought! lol
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is of my first Spring in Alabama and seeing all the beautiful azaleas in our neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteThese make a great display for a work desk or cubby. Spring in Texas means the Bluebonnets are blooming. I am making mine into a Bluebonnet collage for my Husbands desk at work!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is of my great grandmother's farm, every spring one field would be covered in blue bells. My sisters and I would pick many flowers for our grandmothers, and our mom. Every time I smell or see blue bells I think of these strong women in my life.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite springtime memory was when my brother, sister and I got dressed up for Easter Sunday mass and then came home to share a delicious meal with relatives we had not seen all winter. After our meal we would have an Easter Egg hunt that took us outside. The weather always seemed
ReplyDeletebeautiful and sunny or maybe that's the way it seemed in my memories over 40 years ago!
My favorite Springtime memory is being outside planting a garden with my parents when I was a child. I can still see those images in my mind...lots of happy times :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is spending Easter's with my family. Dressing up for church was so fun and playing in the yard hunting eggs every year made the spring season so great!
ReplyDeleteSome of my favourite spring memories are watching my daughter playing in the mud puddles and worm hunting, and also seeing all the baby cows on our farm!
ReplyDeleteMy best spring memory is watching our grandchildren searching the yard for the goodies hidden by Grandpa... the oldest boys having to hop like bunnies rather than run over the acre of yard so as not to give them an unfair advantage over the little ones.Still makes me laugh out loud! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory was going to the beach during spring vacation with my son.
ReplyDeleteI love spring! Watching all my plants come out of their slumber and grow into a beautiful flower bed. I have fond memories of taking my girls shopping for their new Easter dresses and hats when they were young girls. They are now 30, 25, and 22. Where does the time go!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite springtime memories would have to be the first time Hubby and drive up to Tulip Festival. We both love tulips and it was a lovely Sunday drive, enjying each others company and all the beautiful tulips.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite springtime memory is seeing all the daffodils, tulips, crocuses etc. we planted the previous Fall push their way up through the cold ground and bloom.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring time memory is going to the Tulip Festival - Before it has always been with nieces and nephews but this year I get to go with my own son :)so this year will be the best of all. I cannot wait to take pictures and then scrapbook then. I already have layout ideas in my head :)
ReplyDeleteI have many Springtime memories growing up in Chicago however, after seeing this display tray I am actually planning on using it for a future memory, my daughter's May 11, 2013 wedding. It will be a beautiful way to display wedding day memories for years to come.
ReplyDeleteThe list of things I love about spring is to long to list, but one of my favorite is the spring I meet my husband. We were still in high school. I saw him across the parking lot and said to my friend I was with " I think i will marry him". just short of 2 years and we were married. fast forward 31 years, we still have the same SPRING in our step as we did back them.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory is Easter! We would have to hunt for our baskets as well as eggs and we would go up to the foothills to my cousins for dinner. It was always so beautiful and fun seeing hang-gliders soar off the hills.
ReplyDeleteMy fave springtime memory just happened last week. Here in south Florida, the weather is spring-like all winter long. What made last weekend so memorable is watching my two grandchildren (one visiting from NY) play together blowing bubbles near the pool and building sand castles at the beach. (It was too cool and the rip tide too strong to actually get in the ocean.) My granddaughter is almost three, and my grandson is almost five. This was the first time they've seen each other in two years, so it was really special!
ReplyDeleteLove it..can't wait to make one myself!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime memory was rejuvenated this past weekend as I attended the CTMH Album Retreat in Salt Lake City, Utah. I saw piles of melting snow on the sidewalk across the street from my hotel room.
ReplyDeleteIt brought back SUCH a memory of living in Alaska and 'break-up' time. Where grass is starting to poke through the semi-frozen ground, and drips of snow melt are running down the sidewalk. I took a picture of that pile of 'dirty snow' from my window on the 6th floor and just smiled when distant memories came flooding back to me.
This hinged memory tray is so versatile! I appreciate the size of it so that it will sit on a desk or shelf. Thank you for offering this as a gift!
ReplyDeleteWith Easter coming up, my mind turns to that. I remember hunting for eggs with my brother and sisters when young and then continuing for hours (and maybe days) with my siblings (with plastic eggs of course). We LOVE dying our eggs and are so creative with them, each of us in different ways with different techniques! Very soon, my brother and his son will be coming to spend a week with us and my son, and I look forward to the two cousins having fun together all week dying eggs and hiding them and making memories! A small egg would fit in the hinged tray, wouldn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteI never thought of building it to hang vertically!!! GREAT IDEA!! I have a blank one waiting for me to fill, and that is what I'm going to do! I am thinking that the pictures of when my kiddos were 2 and 3 drawing chalk drawings on our sidewalk. A great way to put the spotlight on how cute they were, but also a way to use the new chalkboard paper too!!! :) AWESOME!! thanks for the new ideas!! :)
ReplyDeleteEaster are my favorite spring memories. Reflecting God's love and power of His death and victory over death for me is astounding. His victory gives my life meaning and forgiveness and victory over sin that I would not know otherwise. Easter is my favorite celebration!!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to the time too, that I see tulips poking their heads through the once frozen white covered ground. I think we are still going to have that deep white blanket on Easter up here, but, that's okay, spring will come!
I am looking forward to doing spring projects with CTMH!
My favorite springtime memories are being outside with my kids. My favorite is of my son, when he was around 3, learning to plant a garden with my dad. Oddly enough, he was a HUGE help planting potatoes, because he's a lot closer to the ground than Grandpa! Hope he's willing to help me again this year...
ReplyDeleteFavorite Springtime Memory: Helping my daddy rake the leaves that hung on during the winter. Waiting on those fresh green leaves to push off the old dead leaves. After they were all raked...running and jumping into the pile.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite spring time memories is when my sister and niece came at Easter when our kids were fairly young. My youngest son and niece are the same age and used to like to ride the quad and the lawn and garden tractor.
ReplyDeleteThere were still snow mounds in the yard as we had had a late winter storm.
They were riding the l&g tractor around the yard and having a blast until they ran out of gas. They chose to fill the tractor without guidance and filled it with diesel. They discovered it would not run well with diesel.
Off to the house and their tractor riding days came to an end.
Clothes washing x3 as (diesel really smells), our niece being upset because her Uncle did not punish her, and our son doing dishes because he was being punished and of course the adults having a good laugh.
One of my favorite memories is going out to the big puddle that gathered in our yard every year, and with my siblings, we would see who could get the water closest to the top of their boots without getting it in our boots. Then trying to get out again. So much fun was had on the farm in spring!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is of my youngest sons 2nd easter. my mother in law had a huge easter basket hunt with clues and everything and he had so much fun running around the yard and house with his siblings and cousins to find his basket. The weather was perfect and they even took a "hay" ride in my father in laws tractor!
ReplyDelete
