When you’ve put your whole heart into creating a work of art, nothing feels better than sharing it. When that work of art features the faces of the ones you love, sharing is all the better. A layout is a fabulous masterpiece worth showcasing, but I love to display my artwork all over my home in a variety of ways. Getting creative about doing that is just as much fun as creating the artwork in the first place!
The Designed Décor flip stand album is one of the most fun outlets I’ve found for displaying my crafts. Using it in conjunction with the Cricut® Artbooking cartridge offers a lot of opportunity for creating masterful works of art for my friends and family to see.

Are you already planning what you are going to do with your own flip stand? I hope so! Flip stands allow you to do things that you can’t easily do on layouts. You noticed how some elements of pages hung off the edges, and it was perfectly okay! Because these pages don’t need to fit into any protective covering, you can add pieces with a lot of dimension and not worry.
The pieces featured in this video are very art heavy, journaling light. But there are no rules! Cut, assemble, embellish, and journal as you like!
You may have noticed that the majority of pieces cut from the Artbooking cartridge in this video were done using real dial size. That feature really makes room for your creativity to fly on these flip stand albums. Notice that many of the pages are not the same size—and they look great! Here’s another idea: cut overlays and shapes larger than the page itself and then trim them down. You’ll see a corner of an overlay here, a portion of a border there. You’ll be inventing shapes of your own that will make each page unique.
Perhaps my favorite feature of these stands is the clear base, the inside of which will hold cardstock, photos, textiles, or shapes.
With this base, to jazz up the cardstock piece, the artist has added a photo mat, cut at 6 3/4" real dial size in Juniper cardstock. It makes a great background image all alone, but also leaves space for a photo to be added if desired.
