If you look at many Close To My Heart paper packs, you’ll see Hollyhock is a perennial favorite (no pun intended). That’s because this versatile pink brightens up any palette. But sometimes, I want to “dial it down” just a tad—that’s why today’s color combination places Hollyhock with its mellower cousin, Blush. By adding just a touch of Blush to my Hollyhock projects, it softens this blooming pink, making the palette definitely more feminine and airy. For good measure, I tossed in two of our newest colors, Juniper and Crème Brulee to the mix as well, in equal intensity to Hollyhock—it’s a perfectly pleasing “three-way tie” of color!
I love the layout featuring my sweet granddaughter Belle; isn’t she adorable? Also note the great Foundry Tabs I’ve added here and there. Each project features one of these great metal tabs in Crème Brulee; it gives each project some heft without ever distracting from the compositions. I love that the tabs work equally well on cards and scrapbook pages. What a sweet summer treat!
