It’s no secret that one of my favorite activities in the entire world is stamping. I’ve loved it for decades as an art form, a therapeutic escape, and a way to explore my creativity. In fact, the first time I held a (then) rubber stamp in my hand, I KNEW that stamping was going to be an important part of my life. And it’s been true! I’ve loved every minute of my time leading D.O.T.S., and then forward as it evolved to Close To My Heart. Given my history, it’s no surprise that three years ago, I had an idea to develop a special celebration devoted to stamping.
I’m happy to say that the result was National Stamping Month—now in its third year and growing stronger and more passionate each September! (Just try Googling National Stamping Month and you’ll see what I mean…the phrase yields more than 35,000 results!) We also recognize the second Saturday in September as National Stamping Day and I know that September 12 will be chock full of daylong crops, stamping workshops, and open houses to mark our shared love of this extraordinary pastime. Stamping truly bonds us together as artists, helps us create cards that share our hearts, and adorns unique scrapbook pages that become our family’s history and legacy.
Stamping has given me a life of celebration… and that’s partially why the special promotion we designed to mark NSM is an amazing card kit called “Everyday Celebrations.” The sentiments on these cards remind us that every day is a joy and a reason to tell someone we love them or that we’re thinking of them. The unique die-cut bracket shape also makes these 16 cards gotta-have-em darling. I also have to mention that the cards have a GREAT color scheme that is suitable for guys or gals—we’ve had several requests for a kit with colors and designs that were a tad more “guy-friendly” and “Everyday Celebrations” really is the ticket. I love these cards, which come together quickly, but still provide an afternoon of absolutely heavenly stamping.
Whatever you do to recognize National Stamping Month, I’ll be wishing you happiness, creativity, and a glorious September packed with everyday celebrations!

There is nothing better then seeing someones face light up when you give them a card you have made. It is even better when you find out they are saving them, makes all the time making and creating so more sweeter.
