A Festival to “Fall” for!

We like to shake things up here at Close To My Heart, and this year we tried something a little different than our traditional Halloween party. We held a “Fall Festival” for employees and their families last week and it has really made autumn awesome!

We held a cupcake walk, a not-so-scary spook alley (thanks, Tia and David for being fabulous not-so-scary hosts!), and even offered face painting (more thanks, this time to Roxanne and Blake!)

Add in cider and donuts and a few bales of hay and you have a great time with family and friends. Jared and Ashley brought the grandkids over and we all had such fun. Can you spot my darling little “Lilly bug” in the photos? Not sure that she loved her costume, but we sure loved her. And grandson Noah absolutely loved the donuts; I think he ate five by the time the party was over!

A highlight was the “trunk or treat” held in our parking lot. The weather cooperated beautifully, and so did our amazing staff! Each department was tasked to decorate a car’s trunk then distribute treats out of the back. We had the Wizard of Oz trunk from our events and training teams, our crazy sports fan trunk from purchasing and new product development, plus several other truly impressive works of art from manufacturing, production, and shipping to name a few. Check out the full-sized pirate ship (it was bigger than a parade float!), as well as the altogether spooky Addams Family house, which won the day’s top prize.

As for me, I won the day’s top prize just by being a part of it. Thanks to the great employees at Close To My Heart for being good sports, great friends, and celebrating the season in style!

  3. Jeanette,
I must say...I LOVE being apart of a company that celebrates in their employees and does such fun and creative stuff outside of the ordinary. It has to make CTMH a great place to call "work". Thanks for you, and your staff, always adding that special touch. I LOVE CTMH!
