Let Your Voice Be Heard

I've never made it a secret that I love the United States of America. It is our very diversity of opinions, religions, ethnicities, careers, values, pursuits and passions that unites us: our differences bond us together, as counterintuitive as it may seem.

We don't need to agree. And we don't need to argue. But in this country, we are welcome to speak. Our government encourages us to speak; it NEEDS us to speak in order to function.

Over the past several months, we've been deluged with information, confrontation, and education all leading to an extraordinary opportunity: the chance to decide. In just a few short days, we will choose a president. What an important, even sacred, duty I consider it. Thousands have died to give us this gift. Citizens of many other countries will never know what it feels like to punch a ballot. So, even if you're weary of all the campaigning, dig deep to become informed, say a prayer, hold your head high, and participate. Let your voice be heard and vote on November 6.
